Better than expected but still lacking a little for a Radisson

It’s a good hotel with a well designed and nice lobby. We stayed in a family room which was fine for us, but the TVs are outdated and very limiting. The ironing board was also stained. The bar was very expensive (it is Copenhagen after all) and they struggled to handle the bar when busy, stopping people get tables and ordering food.
It is probably one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at for recognising VIP status. No real acknowledgement of status at check in, no room upgrade and no drinks vouchers to make up for it (1hr glass of wine for all Radisson members, not just VIP). Bit of shame considering the amount of nights VIP members stay per year.
That’s probably it. Sums it up that I couldn’t really say much more about the hotel. It was fine and overall will definitely do, but it was nothing special overly special.

Dear Sam,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are pleased to hear our lobby design and family room met your needs.
We are sorry to learn that several aspects of your stay fell short of expectations, including in-room features, bar service during busy periods, and the way your status was recognized. Our goal is for every guest, and especially our most frequent travelers, to feel valued and well looked after.
We appreciate your insights, as they help us better align with the level of comfort, recognition, and efficiency our guests should anticipate. We hope to have another opportunity to welcome you for a stay that feels truly special.
Kind regards,

AVOID THIS HOTEL — especially if you’re arriving by car.
The parking situation was absolutely unacceptable. Every day, we tried to pay for parking, but the parking company’s website simply didn’t work. We also tried contacting them by phone and email, with no response.
What made the situation even worse was the hotel’s attitude. They completely refused to take any responsibility, saying that the parking company was a separate business.
Eventually, we were charged for the parking plus significant fines through our rental car company — all because there was no functioning way to pay in the first place.
Very disappointing customer service and absolutely no sense of responsibility toward their guests. Unfortunately, I would not stay at this hotel again and would strongly recommend considering other options, especially if you’re traveling by car.

Extremely disappointing experience – especially regarding the parking situation.
The hotel advertises parking, but the parking is operated by an external company and requires payment. The problem is that there was simply NO functioning way for us to pay. We tried every single day during our stay. Their website did not work properly, they did not answer the phone, and they did not respond to our emails.
We repeatedly tried to resolve the issue, but the hotel completely refused to take any responsibility, simply telling us that the parking is operated by a separate company. From a guest’s perspective, this is unacceptable. If a hotel chooses to work with an external parking provider for its guests, it should at the very least make sure that guests are actually able to pay and have someone to contact when there is a problem.
After returning home, we suddenly started receiving charges through our rental car company for the parking fees PLUS significant fines for supposedly not paying on time — even though we had actively tried to pay every day and were given no working way to do so.
This is absolutely outrageous. Guests should not be financially punished because the parking company’s payment system and customer service do not function.
The hotel’s response throughout this situation has been extremely disappointing. Instead of helping its guests resolve a problem connected to a parking service used at the hotel, they simply removed themselves from the situation and left us to

Location is the only Plus

Returned to a Radisson Blu property after quite a long gap for our five nights stay in Copenhagen and while the location was ideal; just a short walk from Nyhavn waterfront and Strøget pedestrian areas; the overall experience fell flat.
A few honest thoughts from our stay.
1. No AC: with no air conditioning in the room, we had to keep the window open at night making it hard to sleep due to the street traffic.
2. Housekeeping: pretty hit-or-miss. Even fresh replacement towels had a noticeable smell. Room slippers were denied and available only at a charge.
3. F & B: N/A (we booked room-only)
Great location for exploring the city, but the comfort and basic amenities just weren't there. All in all, a very average stay.

Nice hotel, great location, absolutely awful customer service.

Let’s start with the good stuff, arrived early after early flight from the UK, our room was available and we were able to put our bags in the room and get off and on with our day. Nice (standard) room, if a little small, but you don’t book a hotel to stay in the room all day! Restaurant manger/head waiter, very good interpersonal skills, very good spread at breakfast. 5 minute walk from the nearest Metro station and on the 5c airport bus route. 25 minute walk to Tivoli Gardens.
House keeping awful: when we got to our room, the TV didn’t work! Multiple wires hanging out, the air conditioning was ineffective! We called reception, handy-person turned up very quickly and after 10 minutes sorted TV, told us the ‘aircon’ was working, but it was generated from the basement, and would take its time to work through as the electricity had just been switched on! We were on the 12th floor, I guess if you’re on the 24th floor you roast!.
Apparently, rooms are only serviced every other day, however, we were not told this when checking in, nor was there notification in the room, so after being out for the day, we were shocked to discover the room not serviced. Only upon querying this with reception were told of the housekeeping policy. The next 3 days were a constant loosing battle getting towels changed, tea & coffee replaced. Tea & coffee not replaced after the first 2 nights.
Breakfast was bedlam, as said, a very good spread, but the room is badly laid out, too many people gathering in a small area trying to get food. Can I suggest putting the yoghurt & fruits, separate from the hot plate and separate from the cold meats and cheeses.
The restaurant manager/head waiter - not sure which?, had great inter-personal skills, sold us the Lounge restaurant to eat on our 2nd night. We, ordered a starter and main, after 30 minutes, the mains turned up! We politely explained that we had not had our starter, looking slightly bemused, the waiter went to the manager, who took the mains away. A further 10 minutes passed and no starter. My wife spoke to the manager, who told us, it was on its way. After another 5 minutes, we left, explaining to the manager that 45 minutes wait for a starter, with no communication was unacceptable! We went to Restaurant Rimini, a 10 walk away, where we’d eaten previously (https://www.rimini.dk) and had a great meal Sith excellent customer service! We’d definitely recommend it. We gave The Lounge a second chance on our last night, quite a wait for the meal, (not 30 minutes as per previous attempt) but were presented with 2 barely warm mediocre meals. The kitchen is across the foyer/lobby, meals are bought across placed on a trolley, then served up, who knows how long they have been waiting in the kitchen area?
The hotel was booked as part of a British Airways holiday, we selected it because of the Radisson name and previous experiences. If and when we return to Copenhagen, we won’t be staying here!

Dear TheRedun,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience following your recent stay. We are pleased to hear you appreciated the convenient location, the early room availability, and the warm service at breakfast.
We are truly sorry for the frustrations you encountered during your visit. Your feedback about in-room comfort, housekeeping frequency, and the dining experience is concerning and not reflective of the seamless stay our team aims to provide. We understand how disappointing it is when expectations are not met, especially during a much-anticipated trip.
We are grateful that you highlighted areas that worked well and those that fell short. Delivering consistently attentive service, clear communication, and a relaxed dining experience is central to our standards, and we regret that this was not your impression.
Thank you again for sharing your perspective. We hope to have the opportunity to better reflect our commitment to a welcoming and well-orchestrated stay in the future.
We appreciate your visit and hope to welcome you back on a future trip.
Kind regards,
The Team of Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel, Copenhagen
