Three nights in Copenhagen

Very nice hotel in the Kodbyen area. The location is perfect, quiet area but walking distance to much. Very good breakfast and one evening we also had some small dishes that tasted good. Most of the staff offered a smile.
What pulls down the rating is that it was dusty under the bed, there was also debris there from previous guests. The pillow was also very thick and hard. We prefer two cushions with normal thickness so you can choose yourself. But we can definitely come back if we are going to visit Copenhagen.

Lively Meating packing district Copenhagen

Staying at a Scandic hotel has always been a reliable choice for us so far, each branch has its own decor and style, we enjoyed our four night stay at Kodbyen in the Meatpacking District of Copenhagen. From Central Station it was a 10-15 minute walk away to the hotel, check-in was swift and friendly. Our room was spotless and facing away from the streets and was quiet at night. The bed and pillows were comfortable, thick entrance door blocked out corridor noise, set air-con temperature of 22C, block-out curtains worked well, no Netflix of casting available, and house-keeping on request. The breakfast buffet was wide ranged and delicious, there was even a make-your-own waffle station. Location for us was just a little too far out from the attractions on a daily basis, there are many eating choices in the neighbourhood, supermarkets and a shopping centre close-by. On the morning of our departure in the immediate area of the hotel an event was being set-up in the carpark of the meat-packing precinct, I'm pleased we were leaving as it may have turned into a noisy evening.

Clean rooms and well appointed, just disappointed with the temperature and no way to control it. Breakfast was hit and miss.

Five days in Copenhagen

The cleaning of the room didn't work at all for us. They have a "cleaning on demand" system. Nothing was mentioned about that at check-in. After the first full day of visiting town we returned to an uncleaned room. I noticed a small paper with a QR-code. That's where one should order cleaning. I did so for the next day, but no cleaning on that day, either. At the reception they promised me a light cleaning the same night, which also happened, and a cleaning the next day, which didn't happen. They blamed tecnical problems and different departments, but that shouldn't be any concern for the customer. Considering this is not a cheap hotel, this is something that shows a certain degree of incompetence. - Otherwise the hotel was OK, if not in any way outständing. The staff in the restaurant was friendly and helpful.

good thing first, food was great at breakfast and room was soundproof.
the bad however was bigger lidt
rooms could have been colder considering we have a heat wave in Denmark. the cleaning that you as the user has to request, we set it up for cleaning twice in our 4 day stay and only got cleaning once. it was the same experience for our friends in a similar room.
and then the personal blamed the system.
However if the system dosnt work maybe they need to get rid of it.
it just makes it so when im back ill order cleaning everyday if i cant trust the cleaning booking.
this should be an easy fix which is why its a 2 star and not a 1 star review
