Lovely weekend getaway
Our second time at Hindsgavl and just as lovely as the first. Good food, quiet setting, beautiful surroundings. The breakfast buffet, in particular, is excellent. Dinner also very good with locally sourced ingredients and high quality wine. Staff is friendly and professional. We recommend a walk around the peninsula to enjoy the scenery and wildlife. We’ll be back next year!

Beautiful surroundings
There is no doubt that those who have the overall management, want the best for the guests. Good raw material, beautiful and clean rooms and fantastic surroundings. The next line is probably not as service-minded. Did not get information that the castle was closed because of a wedding and we therefore had to eat dinner in the farm, which was nice, but looked like a decorated sports hall - We had booked a night at Hintsgavl Castle. Dinner, which was a 4-course menu with the purchase of wine menu. The wine menu was really nice and was presented by skilled and dedicated wine server. Dinner menu blen presented by someone who did not show what was on the menu and who really must have had a day. No contact or arrangement-- actually a bad experience. The first and last dish served at the table was really good the two dishes were ok but not wow. We celebrated our copper wedding in some buildings at Hintsgavl Castle on 6/6. Imagine that after we came home we heard more of what we experienced. We are not rich but would like to be celebrated and spoiled.

Don't fool yourself for a super experience
Super lovely stay where we had got room in the side wing of Hindsgavl Castle when we had spent the day for family party nearby.
The room had little years on the back, but was decorated in a modern style with relatively modern furniture.
After check-in it was time for a walk out into the zoo that was adjacent to the castle, and here we saw the dådyrs in close contact and could also see several dådyrkid lying in the grass.
Then we could just reach a walk through the castle garden with its many different interesting trees, fun corners and views, which are definitely worth a visit.
Back in the room it was about to be bedtime, and after a long day we quickly fell into deep sleep in a nice bed that had some super good head pillows and similar duvets.
Breakfast the next day was served in the main house restaurant. Here was everything the heart and not least the stomach desired of organic products and good with different orders from wild pork.
Great was the surprise when I just wanted some bacon and egg/scrambled eggs. The roast egg is served in most other hotels we have visited as something prefabricated (prepared powder-roast egg), which however is not the case here.
At Hindsgavl you will find a cook standing and making it from scratch and without any kind of semi-fabricates or powdered eggs. Likewise, bacon and local sausage made from free-country pigs were made to the need of the chef.
Definitely not the last time we have chosen Hindsgavl for overnight stay and definitely not the last time I have to eat me properly in their delicious fresh breakfast.

Cosy rooms, but u-charming dinner.
The stay was a gift to the crown diamond couple, so therefore important. Very nice to stay in the Fodermesterboligen. Dinners were in the large lat which is very u-charming for a cosy 4 person dinner. It seemed temporary, not neat and suits the other guests, who were companies. Øv, it was very unfortunate and made the dinner quickly over. Service at the table untrained and unengaged with respect to the food and wine.

For a couples getaway, this was a perfect spot. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, nature and shore. We dined at the restaurant which was small, but food was excellent and prices reasonable. Breakfast was outstanding. Would definitely return.
