Wonderfully located in the forest

We stayed 3 nights with a bus tour group from 01 to 04 May at the hotel. The location in the forest is optimal. Just minutes to the beach. The rooms are comfortably furnished. The service is competent and very friendly! Everything is very clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet was first class. Fresh bread and rolls, sausage, cheese etc. A good selection. Also the warm buffet in the evening was great. We were very satisfied and can recommend the place without hesitation! Unfortunately, time passed far too quickly. We would have loved to stay!
A small minus point should be mentioned: the tables in the restaurant are very tightly placed, so it is difficult to leave your seat. (6 and 8 tables)

Not for the quality conscious.

Visited outside the high season.
Strandhotel Balka Søbad is a super cosy apartment hotel with a perfect location close to the beach. In addition to a single surge in the reception, the staff was incredibly nice and service-minded – especially in the restaurant, where the service was at the top!
The room worked fine with refrigerator and a little plates/ cutlery to eat on the balcony - the duvets were too warm for the season, although it had not become a real summer yet.
Unfortunately, the breakfast drew the overall impression a bit down, and it is a shame when you like me go up in the first meal of the day. Besides good circles and a little charge, the rest was unfortunately a flat feeling. There were plenty of options but the quality had much to wish for.
The coffee tasted nothing, the juice resembled thin juice, and the eggs were a pure lottery. The fruit and the marinated herring also lacked the freshness one expected. So lots of stars for the location and the waiters, but the kitchen is allowed to tighten up!

We're not coming back.

The hotel was fine.
The restaurant super nice.
The staff at the counter was ok, but not quite as welcoming and service minded. There was a lack of smiles and a welcome to!
The rooms are located in some old blocks by the hotel. Stairs up to 1.sal.
The rooms themselves were decoratively ok. Nice with mini kitchen and fridge.
The altan was not very inviting, so we did not use it.
2 children and I stayed for 2 nights.
Day 1 we started to cough and snore violently.
1.night Almost no sleep.
2nd night we could smell that there smelled of the ground at the top end of the bed and it sweated in the eyes and airways. We snorted and coughed and our eyes ran into water. Clearly signs of mold -which we have lived in before, and therefore recognize (and therefore cannot stand). One of my daughters noticed a special smell when we arrived.
There are wall-to-wall blankets on the floors, and that smelled at the edges against the wall.
We had no symptoms when we were out, but got snotted and coughed again when we came back to the room.
The staff was informed of the suspicion and thought it should not be possible since the hotel has been renovated.
I got no rejection in the price, despite I told about the experience with 2 nights with minimal sleep.
However, the staff would take a closer look at it..
Because of this experience we will not come back again.
It is simply too sour to spend your paid vacation on getting sick of the room, and being a single mother away with two children on holiday is hard without sleep.
The room gets 1 star.
The rest of the hotel was for 3 stars.
That’s why I gave 3 stars in total.

Nice stay but room for improvements

I just got home after a week in this hotel. I have been to the hotel with the family many times, and we have been enjoying our stay at the hotel all the times we have been at the hotel. The buffet breakfast is good and has a nice selection. We were pleased with the room ( H block ) which is modernly furnished, and there is most of what one needs, however there is a closet / shelf for the clothes in the common room / double room, and I miss the possibility of heating a light meal in the room which unfortunately was removed when the rooms were renovated ( around the pandemic ). The parking lot is not nice to drive in/out on due to stone. The pool is nice and it is nice that there is a pool, but it is a pity that there are tall trees that shade around the pool. The hotel is located by a fine sandy beach which is shallow and child-friendly. Staff seems friendly.

Nice accommodation near the beach

+ Perfect location near the beach which was great. Suitable walking distance along the beach to Snogebæk where there are restaurants and shops. Nicely furnished. Good with private patio. Nice hotel area. Comfortable beds. We are happy to come here again!
Too few parking spaces. The floor was not cleaned. The water in the shower didn’t run away but there was water all over the floor in the bathroom.
