FAMILY HOLIDAYS HERE.

Place to rest, they have a nice garden and a coffee shop facing the sea.Good plan for family holidays.

Customer friendliness

Our time at Ganso y búho was a very pleasant experience. Nice fresh breakfast, clean rooms and and very good Service. We will not soon forget the customer friendliness and willingness of Mariano, Erica and Lorena.

Good but feels commercialized.

Summary: Good but feels commercialized.
The hostal offers modern and clean rooms, the superior ones with AC on the top floor, the ground-floor ones more basic. A water fountain and glimpses of the sea (from the upper-floor rooms) as well as Surf-Board rental make this a pleasant option.
Despite the great rooms, the place is not holding up to that standard on the details and did not live up to the expectations we got from the raging reviews.
In particular, it did not feel like a home but rather commercial. For instance, the breakfast is good but very small (a few bits of fruit, a spoon of granola and a slice of bread, some days also eggs) and everything else (even a slice of bread) costs extra. The same is the case for beach towels. Alienating was also that after getting moved to a slightly more expensive room on our first night because the bathroom of the original being inaccessible, we were expected to move for the second night (or pay the extra) despite the room being free. And finally a few thoughtful touches were simply missing, such as a way to enjoy the beach in front of the house without having to rent chairs to get a spot in the shade.
Overall good, but not great and we found better options in Ayampe.

Awesome stay in Ayampe, we will come back!

Our stay at the G&B was fantastic, we started each day comfortably with a fantastic breakfast, very rich and very delicious. Afterwards, we enjoyed the sea from our balcony in the hammock. The location is great, right on the beach and you can also rent boards. Restaurants, yoga and surf schools are also just around the corner. Franzi, the owner, was super helpful and supported us with every request. After 4 nights we are refreshed to the max and hope to come back soon. Thank you :)
