Bad experience

There was a power outage from 03:00 to 06:00 am and the A/C obviously stopped working. It was so hot and humid that I couldn’t sleep eventhough I opened the balcony door. They have a power generator that doesn’t start automatically and they don’t start it manually at night because it’s too noisy. That’s what they told me me at the front desk in the morning when I asked. Breakfast is really bad: just two scrambled eggs with two small pieces of stale bread, a little bit of fruit and a cup of coffee. There is no breakfast menu. The only breakfast available is what I described. I’m never coming back.

The Hotel is okay, better than many others we have visited in this 3 weeks trip. But I would not call it great. The site makes you believe that it is a beach front Hotel. That is a total missreprasentation

Wi-Fi. It was almost non-existent. Rooms were comfortable and fairly well-appointed, but the wi-fi was very poor. Also, one waiter was almost rude to us, serving others in the dining room who arrived AFTER we did, and bringing our breakfast scrambled eggs on saucers (what--no plates?). The beach view was fine, and the ambiance was relaxing. The hotel is convenient to the Murcielago Beach and the Mall Del Pacifico, but there are definitely some finer points that could stand work. We won't stay there again.

Nice, Quiet Hotel in Manta

The Hotel Vistalmar is a nice, quiet hotel near the beach in Manta. There isn’t direct beach access but the beach is accessible just a few blocks away. Our room was spacious and clean, and the common areas were lovely, including the pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean!
