Perfect for tranquil working and relaxing
Absolutely beautiful little gem of tranquility. Just stunning family and cocktails and coffee! You’d kick yourself for not checking out this little cove of authentic, rich heaven. Perfect for working and having a cheeky glass of red wine in the evening.

Sleep? Not Much!
As reviewers "cl forever" and "briffaman" imply, sleep at La Facha should not be high on your priority list! We got very little since our room also looked over the very loud party room (most do), without a closable window and the party went until about 2:30 am... not so pleasant for us. I have to say though, the music was good :-)
In the morning when we couldn't sleep through the heat any longer we packed up and let Tito know we were not his type of customer. He was very nice, ageed with us, and suggested some other places. As we were leaving, another couple with kids looked pretty grim as they and their sleep deprived children stumbled down the 3 flights of stairs from their "view" room. I took the opportunity to look at the view from their room - it was a thin sliver of beach visible between the motels that sit in front of La Facha, a second row location.
I'll add a little to "cl forevers" maintenance comment... bugs. Yep, little bitty ones, with big bites! They were living behind the shelves and visited our bed while we slept, raising dozens of big itchy welts on us both by the time we awoke. We are both accustomed to bug problems when we do extended wilderness hiking and river trips, but I have to say have never worried about them in a rented room!
So, you party folks, this might be your place! You might want to visit though before you book?

Worst service ever
The food was average but the service was terrible. Half our order didn't come and when we when to pay the bill cost $9 we gave a $10 note and they didn't have $1 change to give us and want us to come back later to pay. There are better places to eat in Mompiche

Excellent for such a cheap deal!!
I had been here twice and gotta say that the hostel is very comfortable for it's prices. First time I was able to enjoy Tito's food, which is sooo delicious, and his attention is perfect. Second time Tito was out of the country, but the hostel kept the same, clean, confortable and friendly. Totally in love with it, good for surfers and backpackers. I'll be visiting it in a couple of weeks to have a relaxing weekend, well recommended.

My bad...
We arrived after a never ending bus ride to find Mompiche in the dark after being hit by a major storm. I´ll admit that the employees were stressed out but no one paid us any attention nor did any of them know about our pre-paid reservation (I advise not to pre pay) and the owner was away because of the elections. Everyone turned their back on us passing on the responsibility until finally what I think was the chef gave us some attention and later showed us to our room.
We booked the double room with a shared bath, later realizing that this bath was shared by all the clients at the restaurant that was located right in front of our "window".
The title this review is "my bad" because I´ll admit that my husband and I are not the typical kind of guests for this place. I ran by the hostal´s internet page that is very well made and enticing and thought it would be a funny experience but this place is not for a 40 year old couple.
You´re going to experience a lot of noise, music and laughter which is alright if you want to but otherwise just plain annoying and since we had already paid there wasn´t much to do.
I do recommend the restaurant and the place is decorated with good taste but the rooms need some maintenance seeing that I was woken up in the middle of the night because it was raining on me!
Might be fun in a group and if you´re there to party but if not better to look at other options.
