Fun bird watching connection!

Esperanza was lovely and helped us figure out our bird watching experience and a taxi to our destination. The bird watching experience was my first and was lovely, following the brother of the sanctuary owner up a hill at 6am to a viewpoint where we stayed for 2 hours.

Sure, the 'hippies' are gone, but the memory lingers on

Older open-concept concrete building at edge of town, secure parking. Reception friendly and English-speaking, spacious rooms, hot showers. Lounge features a guitar and set of bongos. 3rd floor breakfast area with syrup/fruit feeders for good 'birding',

Great value, location, and comfort!!!

Of all the visits I have made to Mindo this was the best in terms of accommodation. Great location. Great price. Great owner. Couldn’t have been better. Room was great. Terrific open spaces to sit and relax. Wonderful breakfast. I would highly, highly recommend you stay here. I certainly will on my next rip.

Gladly again, because I liked it very much.

Luis and Esperanza welcomed me with a smile. They are very friendly and happy to help you with anything. The hostal is very cozy and clean. During breakfast in the open dining room you can observe the tropical birds of the area and enjoy an atmosphere of calm and serenity. The hostal is well located and not far from the sights. My stay was very pleasant and when I get back to Mindo I will stay there again.

Lovely peaceful spot in Mindo

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mindo Biohostel. Nice and clean, spacious room, friendly hosts and fantastic breakfast. There are feeders out on the balcony where you eat breakfast. You can watch humming birds and we even saw a toucan! No need for an expensive tour if you stay here because you see it all whilst eating your breakfast! A little more expensive than some options but definitely worth the money in comparison to the cheaper places to stay here. Would highly recommend!
