Recommended for women traveling alone! Hotels in Bajaleia

For my first visit to the Bahareia Oasis, I was trying to get a local tour company who were very supportive as I was traveling alone and didn't speak Arabic, but I booked this hotel directly because it was owned by a Japanese. After that, I had them email back and forth many times to arrange private Cairo round-trip transfers and popular desert tours.
There were not many other guests for the three nights I stayed, but they prepared delicious food for me, a vegetarian (and they even catered to my troublesome request not to eat raw vegetables). He also explained in advance why the hot springs were not available. The rooms were clean, there were clean sheets, towels and a fridge, and they were well cleaned. When I asked him to add a towel, he didn't look nasty and brought it slowly but properly. The two owners were very kind and asked me whenever I saw them if I was in trouble.
I think guests will appreciate it differently depending on what they want and to what extent they want it in such a remote area, but I was really glad to ask this hotel to make all the arrangements because I wanted to spend my time relaxing in accordance with the rules of the area with safety first. Recommended for solo trips by women who do not speak Arabic.

Relaxing stop at Hot Springs

The hotel has spartan rooms, equipped with a stove (important, because in the winter evening it is cold), a fridge, a small TV, a wardrobe, a stool to store your suitcase. In the bathroom, a bar of soap and towels that should be renovated. New tank but a rust flow duct the boiler. Equipped with blankets a little felted and heavy. Entrance door difficult to open. Simple but genuine and local food, excellent flavored "Turkish" coffee. I had a leak in the bathroom, problem somehow buffered in the day. I did not use the pool with ferrous thermal water inside the structure. Dear owner, Peter, who gives all the information about the area and welcoming the "Peter's bar". The hotel deserves a renovation, but it is still recommended for those who want to stop in Bahariya.

To flee absolutely

To flee, absolutely dirty, bad service, a look back to the 1930s in furniture, including beds and bedding not to mention the restaurant that serves only dishes, brought from outside under cellophane
Fortunately given the state of the kitchen
And what about the hot water bath that is actually, a rust bath in a brief scrap metal tank to help

Amazing stay in El Wahat el Bahareya

The place was so clean, quiet and friendly environment. The staff were so welcoming and polite. The oriental food matches the environment. The classic home of hotel owner was still there including all furniture used and kitchen primitive equipment

Perfect trip

We have wanted to visit the white desert for as long as I've known about it but only found time this year. I like to book things myself normally, but choosing a company local to the area with years of experience and knowledge was top of the list, as Egypt can be hassle. Not only does Peter, the boss, have a lovely hotel where we stayed for a night, but he also organized the transfers from Cairo, and local trips to see and stay overnight in the desert, visit some amazing dunes and visit another heritage site, Wadi el Hitan, on the way back to Cairo. Having this all organized and in place was peace of mind that you just dont get booking with , e.g. a UK company.
Our first transfer arrived on time, and in a clean fast private car we soon arrived in Bahariya, where we met Peter and changed into our 4WD car for the overnight tour. Our guide was perfect, spoke good English and took us all round the desert, stopping for as many pictures and short walks as we wanted before setting up camp for us and cooking a wonderful dinner. The lentil soup was amazing and there was chicken for me and a vegan option for my wife. We slept well and woke to a beautiful sunrise in an amazing place, before breakfast, then visiting the black desert, back to the hotel for lunch and a trip to the amazing Ghorabi dunes for sunset.
The hotel cook made us dinner and we had a decent bottle of local wine, before chatting with Peter about the next day's tour and all about his hotel, where he has lived for thirty years. After breakfast we head to Wadi el Hitan via a transfer, then another 4WD, where we saw while bones dug from the desert, which used to be underwater, and more amazing rocks. Our driver was very good, barreling along the sands and up rock faces, a real adventure. Then another taxi back to Cairo, all organized proficiently by WhiteDesertTours.com the tour part of Peter's operations in Bahariya.
We coudlnt have had a better trip and knowing it was all taken care of made it very relaxing too. We absolutely recommend this company for anyone wanting to see the sights in the area, as there are so many things to take care of and having local knowledge is everything. The price was excellent too, the hotel very comfortable and the vehicles amazing.
