Beautiful and authentic property in local area of Cairo

This really is a beautiful and authentic property. The hotel / villa is set across two buildings (both buildings have pools). All of our three rooms were super large (two had kitchenette’s) and appointed with period furniture and pieces.
The restaurant is also very popular with locals and the food and outdoor environment was beautiful. The breakfast spread was delicious, super fresh and plentiful (the baked cakes were amazing).
We loved the local area of Maadi and Uber were easy to get to the main downtown area.
Would highly recommend.

The beautiful charming address in Cairo!

The beautiful charming address in Cairo! If you wish to escape the large, cold, and impersonal five-star hotels that fill the capital, do not hesitate to visit Villa Belle Epoque; yes, it is located in a quiet neighborhood away from the city center, but since in Cairo, any travel means traffic jams and all the sites are scattered, this is not a problem in the end. As for the 'city center,' it only exists in name and has no particular interest!
Villa Belle Epoque, on the other hand, provides quality charming accommodation, as well as interesting cuisine. The only downside: its pool area is a bit limited and encroached upon by the dining space, which tends to expand given the restaurant's popularity among wealthy young Cairenes.
I would also like to add that the entire staff is friendly and attentive, which is not always the case in Egypt, so it should be appreciated!

Disappointed to say the least

I have been visiting the villa for the past eight years on a very regular basis.
My friends and I often meet for lunch & dinner.
We have suggested the establishment to many, many expat friends over the years.
It has always been a trusted place of sanctuary and cleanliness with very nice staff who made our visits memorable and happy.
BUT, over the last eighteen months and especially recently it has changed beyond recognition. Waiters look dirty, table cloths dirty, table plants dead, no music, charging for ice, to name a few quite serious issues if this place is going to stay high class and beautiful. Please don’t loose the core of the business by expanding and not focusing on little special things that make it what it is.

Fantastic place, highly recommended

Great hotel with very nice rooms, great seating in the garden and in the house. Fantastic food, both breakfast and dinner (clear winner on our round trip). Very friendly staff, also at reception - here especially Abdulrahman. Unfortunately otherwise not self-evident, it was very clean here and everything decorated with loving little things (always fresh flowers in the rooms). A big thank you to the whole crew and the great time there.

Wonderfully old-fashioned

This is where you feel at home. An old (colonial ?) House with appropriate furnishings. Very small bathroom with bathtub shower. Bathroom and the two rooms (spacious bedroom and adjoining additional room with desk and chair) 1A clean. Bed very okay. Very friendly staff both at reception and restaurant. Exuberant breakfast. The only drawback of this location: it is located a little bit away from the centers of Giza or Cairo. However, these can be reached quickly by metro.
Overall: great recommendation !
