The Luxor Hotel’s location is not in the main tourist area, you have to take a 15 min cab ride for 100 egp to get there. The area is local with some tourists and totally safe and friendly.
The hotel is a 2 star, no kettle but a fridge in the room. Staff are friendly.

Horrible experience – left after one night

We booked for several nights but left after the first one and stayed elsewhere. The room was filthy, the bathroom reeked of sewage and was completely unusable. The place felt unsafe – the owner kept staring at us in a disturbing way and made inappropriate, creepy comments that made us feel extremely uncomfortable. In person, he told us to contact Booking for a refund, but later refused to approve it.
Absolutely disgraceful. I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially women traveling alone.

The place has a good view, apparently from the reception desk. The room doesn't have internet. The air conditioning is an old window unit that obviously doesn't work well since it stops cooling for a few moments. The beds are very hard and of poor quality. The TV never turned on, and the smell of old wood was very strong. If they upgraded the air conditioning system to a more modern one, that would be great.

Very dirty and very bas rooms. If you come to hurgada, this is not to place to stay.
Room almost never cleaned, and only thing bed sheets changed, however a lot of hairs in the bed.
I booked 7 rooms, and each of them worse than others.
Do not waste your money and waste your holiday.
