Lovely grounds

The rooms are spread out over the lovely gardens. If you like to wheel your own case you may struggle with the gravel paths but the staff are very helpful. The rooms are spacious but need a bit of updating, particularly the bathrooms. Food was excellent, If you choose to have a pre-dinner drink in the bar it may be a lonely experience, when we were there most people went straight into the dining room

comfortable room but...

The room was comfortable in lovely gardens, though the bathroom needed updating. Good wi-fi in the room. Very tasty pasta in the restaurant, although they seem to want to leave not long after easting (to be fair, there weren't many people there)

Poorly executed hotel

The grounds are quite nice so there’s potential, but it ends there. Rooms are very basic. Bathrooms foul. Desperately in need of a real clean. No fans in the room and no flyscreens so you can sweat to death or get bitten by bugs! Food very average. Worst part is the disinterested and downright rude service by the staff who clearly don’t think much of their guests. Want to sleep? Can’t do that either! The religious gathering literally 50ms away blasts prayers on the electric speakers from 4am. Day of rest? Not a chance!

Inadquate

When I walked into the Lodge area, I had high expectations. The grounds were very pretty. When I walked into the room, I was very disappointed. The room itself was basic, but the bathroom was frightening. The sink was not bolted to the wall and wobbled the moment you touched it. The electrical socket was coming out of the wall. No soap was provided, only a roll of toilet paper that was handed to me.
Although they claimed to have wi-fi, I could not find it anywhere in the hotel-- not in the lobby area, not in the restaurant, and definitely not in the rooms. Dinner at the hotel was extremely mediocre. I met a friend at the restaurant and we ordered the beef and it was way over cooked.
The people at the hotel were very friendly but that is the only good thing I can say about this hotel.

Nice Lodge

we enjoyed the veranda of our cabin, to watch the monkeys and birds in the beautiful landscape of the lodge. we also watched two couples who got their pre wedding pictures taken in the grounds.. the room is very basic, but clean. hot shower and comfortable bed, is all you need at the end of the day. the lodge is out of the center of town, so if you plan on walking around town, you either call a taxi or forget about it. dining is in a separate building, good basic food. nice service .
one thing you have to take into consideration, is the Imam calling and the priest answers him. 5 am, on loudspeakers. we experienced it all over Ethiopia.
