The best place to stay in Bahir Dar!! Very clean and friendly staff,, a nice view and at close by the lake

We a group of friends spend 2 nights in Bahir Dar at ''TEFERI MEKONNEN HOTEL '' It's very clean and everything works perfect including the Hot shower and good WiFi. They serve good Breakfast ....the staff is very friendly
The location is 2 minutes walking to the lake,, 3 minutes walking to the big market and the Bus station,, we highly recommend this place. it is comfortable and good price,,, the Hotel guy named Bamlak,, He organize a boat trip on lake Tana monasteries and 3 days trekking in Simen Mountains with the other backpackers group with a good and reasonable price and because we like their service in Simen we continue with them for 3 days to the Danakil Depression it was perfect...all in all was joyful and memorable time,, once again we like to thank you :Bamlak : For contacting us a good and honest tour organizer!
One thing I forget, they have free shuttle service from airport or from the Bus stop,, you could ask their free pick up service with the Hotel minibus.
If we go back to Bahir Dar,, Definitely we will stay at TEFERI MEKONNEN HOTEL.

On expedia offering:wi fi, including breakfast,free shuttle from the airport.But not wi fi,no breakfast,no free shuttle.It is a fake,only the position is good.The room is full of mosquitos.......they don't help you

Better to take rooms third floor and up

The hotel is nice and located not far from a few tourist attractions to see in Bahir Dar. It is close enough to town and so access to food should not be a problem. The upper level rooms give you a better view of the city.

Perfect & reasonable price

I have been to Bahir dar a lot of times. But this one was my favorite. A very friendly staff specially the manager Endalk who was very helpful. He makes us feel like we are at home. Clean room, good breakfast and a great location. Just a few minutes walk from the lake. I highly recommend this hotel whether you are traveling for business or pleasure.

Best budget hotel in downtown

very clean,good and safe location,friendly staff, adequate bathroom,very modern,great price,free airport shuttle,very comfy,dont hesitate book it,no worries no nasty suprises,around hotel nice restaurants with local food.
