Good location, room was a little small and to warm. No fridge to store your food or drinks for your hike, only one meny for dinner

Super nice location in quiet surroundings. Lots of nature. Family atmosphere.

Fantastic location directly at the Oulanka National Park directly on the lake. Rustic, cosy rooms in log cabin style. Breakfast, sauna and HotTube for shared use. Various activities, in late summer e.g. rafting, hiking or fat biking. Super nice and flexible staff. Family atmosphere.

Great location to explore nature and the national park

Cosy rooms in log cabin style, with balcony or terrace. Bathroom with shower, toilet. Hair dryer. Built-in wardrobes, desk.
Cosy restaurant with fine salad buffet and menu. Terrace overlooking nature. Another small restaurant and sauna are surrounded by beautiful scenery. Sandy beach on the lake with barbecue facilities.

Professionnal driven tour

We did not sleep there but did guided snowshoeing. Harry was very friendly and drove the tour with passion and knowledge. We loved the 3 hours we spent together! The soup served there after was excellent. Kiitos Harry and happy walking in beautiful Lapland !

Amazing week in the snow

Basecamp is a beautiful place to stay, so peaceful and remote, with fantastic staff, lovely food and comfy rooms. The frozen lake is so picturesque, we also walked to the frozen waterfall and to the mill too, which weren't far away through the forest.
The guides that led our Exodus Family Wilderness Week were great, and really took care of us when the temperature hit -34C so we could still go outside and take part in activities. The food was good, the cakes were tasty, and the soups- the orange hot chocolate was very boozy indeed. Both children (9 and 11) loved it, and embraced the activities, as well as playing games in the evening near the fire in the main building. I really hope to return one day, as the activities were great fun, the location stunning, and all the family had an amazing time.
