Very poor experience, rude staff and a completely unjustified extra charge.
I arrived at the hotel with a pet, but for some reason I was placed by the hotel in an allergy room, even though pet-friendly rooms were available. Despite this, I was charged a €35 pet fee even though I was not given a pet-friendly room, and on top of that I was required to pay a €100 cleaning fee. In practice, I ended up paying for a mistake made by the hotel. This simply isn’t reasonable – how could a guest know that the hotel had accidentally assigned them to an allergy room?
I contacted the Consumer Ombudsman, who supported my view on the matter. However, the Consumer Disputes Board considered the case to be a “word against word” situation, and I was told that taking the matter further would require going to district court and hearing witnesses. This would be a complicated and time-consuming process, and it simply isn’t worth my time and effort.
I also tried to resolve the issue directly with the hotel manager by phone, but she did not want to discuss the matter and the treatment I received was very rude.
The overall standard of the hotel was also disappointing: the facilities were outdated and unclean, the breakfast was poor, and the parking area was extremely small, cramped, and full. During our stay there was a private event at the hotel, which meant the restaurant was closed and we had to order food to our room via Wolt.
I travel frequently for both hobbies and work, and I have never experienced such poor service before. At least I was able to leave a Tripadvisor review about the experience.

A nice weekend, everything went well
The staff was friendly.
Parking was free of charge.
The large conference room was cool, it was almost -30°C outside. Smaller group working rooms were warm.
The breakfasts were good and sufficient. The lunches on the weekend were cold, but there was enough to eat.
Because we were a big group, we were able to pre-order a hot dinner for one evening.
I'm not sure of availability of a dinner for a single accommodated.
The bar was open until 10 p.m. only.
I didn't have anything to particularly criticize, but I also didn't have anything to praise more than normal – it was still a nice experience!
