Friendly staff, modern room and good location

Very friendly and attentive staff both at reception and cleaning staff. Quiet, modern, good room. TV did not work on first day and next morning, the issue was then taken care of. Breakfast excellent at Torni. Visited also sauna at Torni which was nice and relaxing. Parking very expensive 26 euros per 24hrs.

Breakfast was an unpleasant experience.

It was disappointing to learn at check-in that breakfast would be served at the neighboring hotel. The signage was poor, and the route went through a bleak parking garage. In addition, the breakfast room was completely crowded, and a staff member rather bluntly snapped, “Who are you?”
In the future, we will choose a hotel in Tampere where breakfast arrangements are better organized.

Peaceful little hotel

Sokos hotel villa is located next to Tampere railwaystation. This 6-floor hotel is quite modern, it has been built on an old grain warehouse. Service was nice again, breakfast ok, but served in another building. Spacious room, this time for solo traveller. I stayed in room on the 6th floor, There were very little window which not possible totally cover with venetian blind.

Decent pricing but with some cost.

The hotel is at the "wrong side" of the now ongoing (summer 2025) train track work. Even w/o said construction, the walking distance from the hotel to the parks / central / lakeside is somewhat long, especially compared to rivals like Sokos Ilves, Scandic Koskipuisto or Radisson Blue Grand.
The hotel itself was very clean and cozy but lacks any kind of in-house restaurant or wine bar. All this can be found 100m away at the "Sokos Torni" -side of the complex. Even the breakfast is at the Sokos Torni side. Also the reception / lobby area is rather small -> there's build up queuing rather easily.
Parking is plenty but spots are small and there's only few (4) EV charging spots, which is a letdown. We drove our vehicles 400m away to the "City Parking P-Hämppi" where is like 50+ EV chargers easily available and parking spots are large.
We had the Junior Suite, room was clean and really nice - the mattres was exceptional (not too soft, not too hard for me, 75kg / 165lbs guy, but the pillows were bad. The normal was too hard and kind of bumpy and the alternative pillow was kind of sofa pillow?! This was a big letdown.
Staff was really friendly and the breakfast (at the Hotel Torni side) was 5/5!

Nice room and hotel, good service.

I came by train at 12:15 and it was only a few minutes' walk from the station. There were really nice customer service people at the reception who answered my questions in a good-natured manner. There is also free coffee in the lobby. My room wasn't ready yet, so I worked in the lobby. I got a room at two o'clock. I asked for a room far from the elevator and got the very farthest room. The only window was into the local hall, but that doesn't bother me. They would have changed my room if I had wanted, so the service really works. The air conditioning was quite loud (automatic), so I turned it down myself. The temperature is just right. One coffee cup was dirty, but otherwise very clean. The room has a small fridge and a kettle. The bathroom is clean. All in all, a very comfortable room. I stay for two nights and I got to choose whether the room is cleaned in between or not.
