Unity Tampere was a great family stay. We wished we had booked more than one night. Comfortable, good location and well designed. Staff were friendly and helpful. The upstairs restaurant had great views, but no menu. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet.

Mixed experience - price/performance rather poor

Our stay at UNITY Tampere leaves a mixed impression overall.
Positive aspects to highlight are the good accessibility by car as well as the convenient underground parking. We also liked the location right by the water. The surrounding area is excellent for walks and other leisure activities. Another plus point is the generously sized apartments, which offer plenty of space and generally allow for a pleasant stay.
Unfortunately, there were also some points that significantly dampened the overall impression. The staff often seemed rather uninterested and not very engaged during our stay.
The breakfast was particularly disappointing, which for us was the worst hotel breakfast we have experienced so far. Many dishes were cold and sometimes difficult to identify. Used dishes sat on numerous tables for a long time, dried-out food like cheese was not replaced, and drinks like juices were sometimes not refilled. The staff in the breakfast area also seemed inattentive and unengaged.
Furthermore, there is a need for improvement in the maintenance of the apartments. In our apartment, for example, the dishwasher did not work. The supply of dishes and cooking utensils is also very rudimentary and only limitedly suitable for longer stays. Also, up to a certain number of nights, there is generally no room cleaning service, so you have to use the towels for a longer time (e.g., also for the sauna!).
The good location, the underground parking, and the spacious apartments speak for UNITY Tampere. However, we still see significant potential for improvement in service, breakfast, and apartment maintenance.

Fresh and calm stay

Stayed here for one night and was positively surprised. Everything was fresh to the smallest details and the value for money was great. Did not try any amenities but commenting only for the room. Location is not very central but only a short drive from the city center. Would stay again if visiting Tampere and not needing to be in the central city area. The surrounding nature is beautiful.

Not for me.

Poor signage of the parking garages. Confusing. The room is permanently air conditioned. You can't turn them off, just change a little temperature. In addition, it is loud and when you lie in bed it blows directly in your face. Windows can't be opened either. You look right into a department store. Staff is very nice and endeavoured.
