Hotel well located for its stars

Weekend for the Christmas market. Very well located. We had a great welcome. Very comfortable room, hearty and varied breakfast, we feasted. And the Spa, nothing to say, it was perfect

Catastrophic value for money

207 euros per night in a setting that seems pleasant at first glance.
No air conditioning but a simple fan, even though air conditioning is described as being present in the hotel. The unfriendly receptionist informs me that my room is not high-end enough to have air conditioning and that a fan will be enough for me.
After a request to change rooms to have air conditioning, I am informed that "anyway, it doesn't work well even in the other rooms."
The cleanliness of the room was questionable.
Initially, only two functional electrical outlets in the room.

To flee absolutely

Very bad experience at Hotel Marotte d’Amiens.
For €200 a night, we expected a minimum of standing, which was not the case: bathroom PMR, dirty, hair in the shower, and a particularly unpleasant welcome staff.
Faced with these shortcomings, we asked for the refund of the second night, which we were denied without any empathy. So we shortened our stay without compensation or excuses.
An establishment that does not respect its customers or its rates. Don't.

Cher Monsieur, dans un hôtel indépendant et familial comme le nôtre, nous prenons rarement le temps de répondre aux avis. Mais là, il convient de faire une exception. Nous vous avons attribué une chambre adaptée : pourquoi ne pas nous avoir dit que cela vous posait problème lorsque nous vous avons accompagnés dans votre chambre? Celle-ci a été justement nettoyée de fond en comble la veille de votre arrivée, à cause d'un souci d'écoulement. Il est donc impossible que vous l'ayez trouvée sale, puisqu'en plus elle a été vérifiée après le passage de l'équipe de nettoyage. Il suffisait simplement de demander à partir plus tôt que prévu, sans inventer de sornettes, et nous vous aurions remboursé la deuxième nuit. Nous sommes toujours compréhensifs et ouverts avec les gens aimables et sincères. Sur ce, nous vous souhaitons un Joyeux Noël.

Convenient stopover in Amiens

Very nice hotel in the middle of the city, easy accessible and not far from the old historic center. Rooms are clean and spacey, beds are good. We stayed in the annex and were brought to our room by the receptionist, she checked whether all was okay and functioning. Have not seen that many times before we could charge out car in front of the main building against very good rates, super convenient.
Getting there is a challenge, Amiens is a one way traffic ⛔ paradise. Making a mistake makes you go around again, just follow the instructions from the hotel.. we didn't in the first place... Would go back there again.

Welcomed & Appreciated

From the moment we arrived, Estelle, the owner, made us feel welcome and appreciated. The room was very spacious and comfortable, the lounge area was the perfect place to regather after many days travelling, a champagne helped. Breakfast was splendid and parking easy nearby. Nothing was too much trouble and we wished we could of stayed for a week.
