First class experience

When I booked this hotel I went back and forth between it and a couple hotels that were in Annecy old town, While this hotel is a 15 minute walk from old town, the walk is on a tree covered path and lets you leave the busy old town to go to your oasis just outside of it. The staff is fantastic. They work hard to please their guests. The hotel itself is in excellent condition and extremely clean including the rooms. The concierge corresponded with me ahead of time to set up spa, restaurants, and bike rentals. For those who’ve never been, Lake Annecy is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

Lovely building and location yet disappointing

I'm sorry to report that I was disappointed. It's a magnificent building in a beautiful spot with very helpful staff and yet ... We booked a room with a terrace as there is no outdoor garden. If you want to sit outside, you are on the main terrace fighting for space with those wanting a meal or a drink. So our private terrace was lovely with a wonderful view but that came at a cost and for the price charged the room was quite ordinary. It was smaller than I would have expected for the price. The pillows were the lumpy synthetic kind and the curtains didn't meet. We enjoyed breakfast but found the other meals we had unremarkable and slightly preferred the park-side brasserie attached to the hotel but not run by it. As other reviewers mention, it's an attractive lakeside walk into the old town which is beautiful but in August it was heaving everywhere. You could barely see the pavement in the old town and walking there was a bit like joining a long queue with cyclists darting in and out.

Disappointment with the spa

For the price, the services are included, and we were unable to use the spa. The steam room was not working, and on the day of departure at 9 a.m., we wanted to enjoy the spa, but the sauna was not turned on, so no sauna. My son and I were disappointed!
Otherwise, the pool was pleasant with the massage jets and the experience shower.

Family trip with a person with reduced mobility.

Very pleasant stay at your hotel, the front desk and room service were truly professional and kind.
The only downside was the meal we had at the restaurant "La Table"; it was really very, very hot in the dining room and the prices were a bit high, but the meal was very good nonetheless.

Overrated and overprized

This hotel is highly overrated, overprized and, in my experience, dishonest. They charged my family and me for breakfasts that we never had, and despite bringing the error to their attention, they refused to issue a refund. This experience left us feeling misled and deeply disappointed. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Indeed, an error occurred in your invoice and breakfasts were billed that were not taken.
The reception had properly reported the issue to our accounting department and a refund file has been opened.
We have never refused to acknowledge our mistake and, since a good part of the accounting department team is absent during this summer period, your refund was processed with a slight delay but it was properly processed.
We can be clumsy but surely not dishonest.
