Nice hotel
Hotel very well located in the city center and right by the beach.

Hotel Kleinkariert, rude, not guest-friendly.
Even though the location of the hotel is good, the hotel management and the subordinate staff are petty and rude as soon as one offers criticism.
I was denied my room key, even though I had already paid for the room, with the justification that I first needed to pay for the cleaning of the bedding…
For your information, I had placed my initially unnoticed damp brown leather bag on the bed sheet; it left a round brown stain about 8 cm in diameter; I showed this to the maid. She then took a photo, and I was charged €53 for the cleaning. I cannot imagine that there are not always stains on the bedding for various reasons; if everyone has to pay for the extra cleaning, that would certainly make the night quite expensive. I found it petty and not accommodating.
But I found the exercise of power in not handing over the key to be much worse. This is certainly not legally tenable. Normally, one pays the outstanding bills when checking out;
here, I was essentially assumed to not pay the bill, and my already paid room was withheld from me. I find this truly absurd, and the staff was also quite rude about it. Therefore, I will never enter this hotel again. There are many other nice hotels in Arcachon with a more competent hotel management.
As an experienced traveler who has traveled all over the world, I have never encountered such rudeness and lack of accommodation.

ABSOLUTELY AVOID.
Upon my arrival, I discovered a huge cockroach in the bathroom of the first room (photos available). The receptionist came up to verify the situation and even tried to crush it, without success. He then changed my room.
Except that in the second room… another cockroach.
At 11 PM, I asked to leave the hotel, but I was told that I might not even be refunded despite the evidence. I find myself compelled to spend the night there.
The next day, no discount, no gesture of goodwill, not even on breakfast. The manager refuses any discussion and even goes so far as to accuse me of providing false photos. An employee even ended up yelling at me: "When you have spiders in your home, do you leave your home?"
Comparing an invasion of cockroaches in a hotel paid for by guests to a spider in a personal residence shows the level of professionalism one should expect.
Refusal to acknowledge the facts, no questioning, no compensation, and a profound lack of respect for the customer.
A hotel is supposed to guarantee impeccable hygiene conditions. Here, the facts were denied and responsibility was shifted onto the customer.
An unacceptable experience. I strongly advise against this establishment.

Nous devons apporter des précisions à ce commentaire calomnieux.
Voilà plus de quatre mois que nous avons rouvert, pas un seul client n'a découvert la moindre blatte dans nos chambres et vous la même soirée vous en trouver une dans deux chambres différentes qui ne sont pas au même étage en moins d'un quart d'heure. Cela peut paraitre très étrange, surtout lorsque l'on sait que notre réceptionniste de nuit est monté pour vérifier comme vous l'affirmez sauf que celui certifie n'avoir rien vu. De plus de nos jours, il est tellement facile de mettre ce que l'on veut sur une photo. Pour finir nous vous dirons qu'il faut avoir les moyens de ses ambitions. Bien à vous

Cozy and Comfortable
Nice hotel right on the quay and beach. Bed was comfortable, nice bathroom, location cannot be beat. The front desk staff are terrific. The bathroom amenities are quite good. Limited parking on-site and the rooms facing the road can get noisy at night - earplugs are provided :-). 100% recommend.
