Ferme au calme et paisible

Sejour de deux jours en famille dans une ferme paisible et au calme. Accueil très chaleureux, appartement spacieux simple et très bien amenegé. Petit dejeuner avec produits bio très appréciables. Merci pour la visite de l'exploitation, un apprentissage très interessant pour citadins petit et grand.

Amiable Fresians, absent hosts

This is a stunning location in rural Brittany and a short distance from the motorway and Vitre. Our 2 year old loved watching the cows going out to their pasture from our bedroom window. If you are lucky, you will find the place incredibly peaceful. The building is beautiful and the accommodation spacious and fairly practical.
Unfortunately, we felt completely let down by our hosts. We were scolded on arrival, as we reached the farm at 2pm, instead of the allotted 4pm. The place is almost impossible to find, due to meagre signage. The biggest problem was the lack of communication. Our hosts seemed to scuttle about and remained invisible to us until our departure morning, when they were around to collect our money. It would have made all the difference to us if we had been given a restaurant recommendation for one of our evenings. There was no WiFi, as far as we could tell, as nobody was ever around to ask. The standards of animal husbandry were obviously high and it would have been great to receive a bit more information about the farm from our hosts. French is not our first language, but we were perfectly willing to converse as much as possible.
The breakfast was the worst that either of us have ever seen, anywhere in the world. Breakfast time was not allocated, so our cooked eggs were cold. On one morning, we found a badly rotten apple and one orange in the fruit bowl and on the next morning just an orange, between the three of us. The bread was very stale and the coffee mostly cold. The food was not protected from the flies.
On our final night, 8 Lithuanian guests ate and drank directly underneath our room until midnight and smoked below our window. They then had a similarly noisy breakfast at 7am before leaving loudly. Either they were dragging furniture about before their departure, as well as suitcases or the floor boards/walls are paper thin!

Hermoso lugar.

Excelente opción, muy cerca de Vitre, pero en una auténtica y típica granja, muy bello entorno. Los dueños muy agradables, no hablan inglés por lo que comunicarse puede ser difícil si no hablas algo de francés, pero con toda la mejor predisposición. Nos tocó un departamento recientemente reciclado, bonito y limpio. El desayuno muy bueno y todo casero, volvería sin dudarlo.

Une ferme en pleine nature

Un lieu qui fleure bon la campagne où l’on est accueilli chaleureusement. Les chambres sont simples, le petit déjeuner aussi, fait de produits « maison », même le pain. Il manque peut être juste des œufs et un meilleur fléchage depuis la route, le panneau étant vraiment trop discret, pour que tout soit parfait ! Nous reviendrons :-)

Agreable

Le lieu est très agréable. Calme et reposant. Les chambres sont très spacieuses, le lit parfait, le calme est vraiment appréciable. Les propriétaires sont gentils et le petit dej copieux. Le tout pour 54€ tout compris. Rare !
