Not recommended
I would not recommend this hotel. It meets all the criteria of a 3 star, but in a superficial way. The manager seems to have little experience in hospitality.
Although the breakfast offers scrambled eggs, bacon, cheeses, cold cuts, cereals and pastries, and is therefore “complete”, the choice is extremely limited. The pastries are obviously warm. Similarly, it would appear that dinners are not prepared on site, but heated in the microwave.
The rooms overlooking the courtyard are quiet (that was my experience). I have seen other comments about traffic noise: this is not surprising as the hotel is located on a busy road.

English charm in the Pyrenees
The Hotel of England is a very well run establishment: the Welcoming is smiling and warm, the Service is impeccable. The site offers different atmospheres in different living rooms and gardens.
Being bikers, we enjoyed the closed and secure parking.
The products are fresh and very well prepared: it is a faultless. Service is very nice and professional, we had a great waitress!
Breakfast is the must of the English breakfast: one without fault too.
We recommend it without hesitation!

Disappointing
For me as well as my mom and my 2 children disappointing experience, our room was street-side, which was extremely noisy. We fell in August in periods of strong heat (unlucky) but no air conditioning in the room which was also embarrassing. a just polite but very nice manager neither.
Breakfast we love fresh fruit and the choice was too limited for us. Also no direct access to a hot drink machine available, we found the Morning Service not up to the establishment (no table for 4 available upon arrival). We did not find the staff particularly friendly and finally we paid for breakfast for a child under 3 years old! who ate 3 small DIY. In short, despite a nice garden and nice decoration I do not recommend the establishment

Il est certes regrettable que nous n'ayons pas pu vous proposer une chambre donnant sur le jardin et que vous ayez pu être inportuné par la circualtion dans la rue qui,au demeurant, pour un petit village de montagne comme Arreau, n'est pas des plus fréquentée. Concernant les fortes chaleurs, il vous aurait suffit de demander un ventilateur à la réception ... que nous mettons à disposition de notre clientèle dans ce type de circonstance.
Concernant le petit-déjeuner, il est surprenant qu'il n'ait pas pu vous satisfaire. Compte-tenu des nombreux produits qui composent notre buffet Sucré Salé nous devons bien modestement reconnaître ne pas disposer d'une variété de fruits susceptible de satisfaire tous nos clients. Pour l'accès direct à une machine à boisson chaude, nous avons visiblement le tort de faire encore confiance à des serveuses qui s'efforcent de répondre au mieux à la demande de la clientèle. Quant à la table pour 4, si elle n'était pas disponible lors de votre arrivée, elle a dû, je n'en doute pas, être rapidement dressée. Afin l'amabilité est une qualité humaine qui suppose une certaine réciprocité ...
Et oui, nous faisons payer le petit déjeuner aux enfants, en adaptant nos tarifs à 8€, pour un buffet qui comprend : des yaourts "Maison" du pain, de la confiture, du beurre, des crêpes, du bacon, des oeufs, des jus de fruits ... pas que 3 bricoles.
Enfin, nous non plus ne vous recommandons pas à nos confrères.

Very serious establishment, excellent Welcoming services on departure, cleanliness, seasonal gastronomy , very attentive staff, swimming pool on return of excursions , garden terrace flowers, private parking, bar area very cozy , board games
