An absolutely magical weekend at the Abbey of Royaumont.

An absolutely magical weekend at the Abbey of Royaumont.
From the moment we arrived, the lady at the reception was incredibly kind: very good advice for walks around, great spots to discover and a real sense of hospitality. It immediately sets the mood.
Brunch is simply exceptional: varied, gourmet, with quality products... a real moment of pleasure.
Sleeping on site allows for a unique experience, especially with the night visit of the abbey which has something really mystical and out of time.
In short, a super nice, rejuvenating and memorable weekend. We recommend 100%!

Worth a visit on a sunny day

There are more compelling places to visit north of Paris, but I enjoyed seeing the Abbaye of Royaumont on the first sunny day of the week. While there is virtually nothing left of the church, the monastic buildings and the cloisters are still intact and the visit is quite interesting.

Grande déception

Nous avons réservé à l’hôtel à l’occasion de l’anniversaire de mon mari. Nous avons découvert une chambre en mezzanine avec un escalier très étroit sans en avoir été alertés auparavant. Impossible de changer de chambre. La personne à l’accueil, a peine aimable n’a eu que faire de notre problème. De plus, la chambre n’était absolument pas à la hauteur de l’établissement : des WC inopérants, une porte d’entrée qui ne ferme pas sauf avec la clef, plusieurs interrupteurs défaillants, une chaise défoncée, un fauteuil troué, un placard dont les murs présentent d’énormes traces d’infiltrations. Et pour couronner le tout, il était prévu lors du dîner une attention à l’occasion de l’anniversaire au moment du dessert. Et bien tout cela a été purement et simplement oublié... Quel dommage ! L’endroit est magnifique, le temps était avec nous mais il restera dans notre souvenir un petit côté amer que le service et le logement n’aient vraiment pas été ce dont nous avions rêvé....
