Authentic Provencal atmosphere with sweet, hospitable and service-minded host

Can warmly recommend ‘Castel Mouisson’ which may not be excessive luxury but in turn emmer of tranquility, idyll and charm. At reasonable distance from, among others, Nimes and Avignon. Lovely, friendly and service-minded staff. Only we missed better wifi coverage in our room, which fairly has to be said about was located far away from the reception. Great to eat breakfast under the shady crowns of the platinum trees. Lovely experience.

Outside looks great - inside not so much.

Let's start with the positives. Garden, pool, parking, seating - everything is top-notch.
Inside, apart from the beds and the air conditioning, unfortunately, it is worn out and not well-maintained. The hairdryer is unusable, the toilet wobbles, and the shelf by the bed is only hanging crookedly on the wall.
The pinnacle - the coffee machine.
A glance into the water tank is enough to quench any coffee thirst.
The model has never been cleaned since its purchase. The water tank looked like a stalactite cave.
The rest of the room also confirms the negligence with which the rooms are treated here.
It's a shame, significant potential is being wasted here. The house could gain significantly with more attention from the owners.

Anne was a very friendly and helpful host. She was a great communicator who went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. She had a great sense of humor and outgoing personality! The property was conveniently located close to the Avignon TGV station. The outdoor space was lovely with wisteria and lilacs in bloom.

A peaceful location , with friendly staff.

A great new find for us.
Hotel set in a peaceful location, with swimming pool and outdoor areas available., and free on site car parking.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Our first floor room was a good size, with comfortable bed with clean bedding. Coffee machine and tv provided, as was free wi-fi.
Bathroom was adequate ...although with my husbands mobility problems he struggled somewhat using the shower over the narrow bath : so it would probably be better to have a ground floor room with shower on a future visit.
A reasonable selection of good quality food for breakfast . No restaurant for evening meals but the staff offered great recommendations of where we could eat out.
My husband was thrilled to be presented with a bottle of local Rose wine on our departure.
Will definitely return here again.

Best place to stay in Barbentane

Best hotel for a stay in Barbentane to use either as a base for visiting the local area or just as a beautiful place to relax by the pool, take some nice walks and unwind. Friendly and professional owner and staff, lovely rooms - some with own small terrace facing the gardens - and views of the 'Montagnette'. Breakfasts are good, and although there isn't a restaurant, the hotel can recommend places to eat nearby or to buy a meal to bring back and eat at a table in the gardens.
