Pleasant surprise
Nice hotel, although the rooms are a bit small, all tastefully decorated near the historic center of Bayonne beautiful town on the banks of the Nive and Adour rivers with an ancient Basque tradition

Really small room, bathroom as well, and shower with a cracked wall.

Nous sommes navrés que la taille de votre chambre et de votre salle de bain n’ait pas répondu à vos attentes. Vous aviez réservé une chambre de notre catégorie Basic, d’une superficie de 13 m². Nous proposons également différentes catégories de chambres plus spacieuses, qui peuvent être davantage adaptées aux attentes de nos clients.
Nous sommes également désolés concernant la paroi de douche. Votre remarque va être transmise aux services concernés afin que les vérifications nécessaires puissent être effectuées.
Concernant la climatisation, celle-ci est bien fonctionnelle. Cependant, pour des raisons écologiques, elle ne peut pas être réglée en-dessous d'un certain seuil.

Perfect hotel, booking center less so.
The hotel is very good.
The staff is very pleasant whether it is the people at the reception, the restaurant side, or for room cleaning.
It was my 2nd stay at this hotel.
It is on the booking center side that I had a problem:
when booking I had negotiated free parking access during the stay ($10/night).
I did not check my booking email (my mistake).
When I arrived at the hotel, obviously the receptionist could not give me the free parking.
I recontacted the booking center to understand what had changed.
the person with whom I had made the booking explained to me that I had misunderstood and that she did not have the possibility to access this discount when booking.
she explained to me that they can only offer upgrades or discounts on room prices.
I also had her manager who told me that it was my word against hers.
Too bad there is no recording of the conversations.
So in conclusion do not hesitate to negotiate, there are possibilities and verify well that what you are told is stipulated in the booking email.

Great one-night stay with pets
I stayed for one night with pets and had a great experience. The room already had pet bowls and a bed, as well as a special gift for the pup. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect with a walk into town taking 5 minutes. Parking was also very easy to manage.

Good for one night but could do better.
Perfect hotel for sleeping one night during a road trip stopover in the region.
While I note perfect and very comfortable bedding, a renovation of the rooms and the furniture in the common areas would be welcome.
The restaurant offers good quality products; it is a shame that the decoration and maintenance of the terrace leave something to be desired.
