I recommend it!

I recommend the Château de la Rappee. The owner's welcome was kind, and with his young team (a special mention for his head waiter), he constantly ensured our comfort and well-being. We stayed 3 nights and thus enjoyed the beauty of this small castle, the quiet of the place, the unique sound of the wind in the trees, and the owls at night. The castle is maintained; the rooms are a bit dated, certainly, but everything is there. The food is very good and authentic, and the Douillon, a local dessert, should be consumed without moderation. The pool is not very big but clean and functional, with lounge chairs and umbrellas, not to mention the towel loan service. In the middle of a Parisian heatwave, this stop of almost 4 days was more than beneficial. Thanks again for your hospitality.

Disappointed!

At the end of June I had booked a higher quality room via the Logis de France platform. A process that has always worked without any problems. Just by chance, actually I just wanted to confirm our stay, I was told lapidarily that my booking was not possible, a mistake by “Logis de France”, the house was closed. It's just funny that the hotel is marked as open everywhere. Annoying for us, now just before the appointment a new accommodation, peak travel time!!, have to search! Would we have been standing in front of closed doors without the clue we received by chance? All in all, this is unacceptable behaviour for this category.

Very beautiful place

Very beautiful residence, lost deep in the forest.
Top-notch meals. Beautiful and good, everything is crafted with taste.
2 cats that are at home, I love cats but I saw them on the tables and that is really not great though. I hope the staff checks before setting the tables.
I would recommend this place.
Too bad no swimsuit because the pool was tempting.

Beautiful from afar

The head waiter Antoine performs his duties well, very professional. For the rest, money does not seem to be reinvested in the maintenance of the building. Bricks are falling outside, rain is falling inside. Gutters can be cleaned, roofs need maintenance, ... Restaurateur Hotelier, what a calling! Everything is far too expensive.

Stay for two.

I was a bit surprised by the comments that range from very good to very bad....
Now I understand.
Indeed, the place is very beautiful, a lovely residence and a very nice garden, but the interior is too outdated... clean but too old.
The gentleman at the reception is pleasant, but that is not enough to be satisfied with our stay, and I am sorry to say this, but the truth must be told for future travelers.
A bit of restoration would be welcome in my opinion.
What we did not like was mainly the breakfast, which completely contradicts the reviews.
Low-quality cold cuts, truly horrible scrambled eggs, really very subpar for the price and the location; I do not understand how a place like this can serve such food!
The chocolate croissant saved everything!
Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place.

Very good location
