Hotel Madame is a gem of a hotel very close to the city centre. The sightseeing, bars and restaurants are easily within walking distance. The hotel itself is in a very quite street so the is no impact from the noise from local bars. It is easy to get to using the tram from the airport, there a 2 stops less than 5 minutes away. The staff were all fantastic. They were very helpful and friendly and helped make the hotel the wonderful place it is. There were good facilities such as ensuite, tv, wifi, mini bar and fans. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel or book it again.

Hidden gem

A hidden gem that absolutely deserves the spotlight. This charming little hotel sits on the quiet edge of town, yet you’re just moments away from the main city, shopping streets, tourist hotspots, restaurants, bars, and the super‑convenient tram links.
The room was spotless and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need — mini fridge, kettle, coffee machine, mosquito plug, hairdryer, fresh coffee, plenty of towels, washing soap, shower gel. Housekeeping came in daily and kept everything immaculate.
The staff were outstanding: warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, with a 24/7 front desk that made the stay feel effortless.
A delightful stay from start to finish. Highly recommend this hotel.

Central, peaceful, helpful

I stayed at Hotel Madame for 3 nights with 2 friends during the period when fires were very near Bordeaux - a scarey time to visit.
On arrival, I was disappointed with the hotel - my room was very small and not as polished as it looks on the photos.
Having said that, it was really, really central and really peaceful - I didn’t hear anything at all from any other room at any point. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, I slept well and all of the staff were superb helpful. It was 5 star service in a 3 star hotel and for that I give it 4 stars. I wish 5 star hotels gave this level of service. For the price, it’s excellent.

a three-star and a disappointment

Undeniably well-located, and with very friendly and helpful reception staff, coffee, tea, and fresh water on demand. Those are the 3 positive points.
For the rest, the room was smaller than expected for a hotel of this category (and we had read the descriptions on the site carefully, despite what the owner might think). A very small closet where the hangers only fit at an angle (or else you leave the doors open), little surface area to put your personal items, not to mention the large room key. A plastic floor covering (yes, it looks like hardwood, but it's fake).
A makeshift bathroom/toilet door, a poorly installed shower tray that lets water leak onto the floor.
No lobby, no place to have breakfast (which you have to remember to order the day before if you don't want to go get it at the local bakery).
We won't mention the heat, the fan did what it could, but we don't hold the hotel responsible for the heatwave.
In short, we won't be going back.

Lovely little hotel in a great location. Very helpful friendly staff, excellent communication via What’s app.
The rooms are small as is the shower and toilet could be difficult if you were a large/tall person.
We really enjoyed our stay !
