Clean but deserves a refresh
I stayed for the second time at this hotel. It is ideally located a few minutes from the center and the shopping mall. The building is not very modern. The lobby is pleasant and modern. The restaurant menu has changed since my last visit and I find it less appetizing. The room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked but not very strongly. Nuxe products are always a sure bet. The common areas could use a renovation because they are not modern. All the benefits linked to my status were respected with an upgrade and a drink voucher. If you choose not to have cleaning service during your stay, they donate 3 euros per night to the firefighters' orphans.

Ugly area, almost downtown and weak air conditioning.
Actually, it is not that central because the area is ugly, although it is true that the cathedral is a 5-minute walk away. Across the street there is a French Alcampo (Auchan), but its sidewalk stinks. At the supermarket you can buy prepared food to eat at the hotel, on the beach, etc.
The reception is a small hexagonal table attended by a young man who speaks Spanish, but an additional receptionist would be good in such a large hotel. Sometimes, at one end of the bar counter they also assist you. A bit strange. Furthermore, when they are not expecting guest check-ins, there is no receptionist. And what if you have a problem, like leaving your key inside?
For 9 floors there are only two elevators. You will see that at breakfast time they are clearly insufficient and the housekeepers also have to use them. It is preferable to go up or down two or three floors using the stairs (which I don't know where they are).
Room 905 does not have good views. (Others, like 915, offer views of the cathedral and the spire of the Basilica of Saint Michael). The air conditioning is a bit weak, but sufficient for me. There are other rooms where it is barely noticeable.
Plenty of outlets and with USB ports. The diamond-shaped window is less bright than the typical rectangular one. There is a safe and a mini-fridge, which cools a little and is empty, except for a bottle of water, which I don't know if it is complimentary.
The bathroom is fine, except that the door shows quite a bit of wear and some dirt. There is no towel rack for when you get out of the bathtub (shower), except behind the door, so I use the shower screen, which looks clean. There is a magnifying mirror that you have to hold; it does not stay fixed. Correct lighting (not overhead, which is impractical), you just have to move to one side or the other to have more light.
Breakfast is served on the first floor. The lounge seems small for the number of rooms, but it can be expanded behind a folding screen, although it was not necessary during my stay. It has two coffee machines and a toaster. There are crepes (good selection of honeys) and pancakes. There are cereals and nuts and dried fruits (except prunes and walnuts), including dates and figs. I like the bread filled with raisins and fruit: it is dense and tasty. You will find olive oil and mango puree.

A very nice hotel in a quiet location a short walk from the centre. The staff were very friendly and professional.

Bad Air Conditioning
Arrived for a two night stay prior Tour de France. 15-20 minute walk to the river. Receptionist was extremely welcoming and helpful on arrival booking a taxi to the train station.
Air conditioning not that strong, locked at 19 degrees so therefore in the current heatwave not effective at all. (Almost unbearable)!
Room overall good except light above fridge covered in dust.
Breakfast varied with hot and cold offerings. Good bar and reasonable light evening menu.

at the Mercure standard.
The location is close to the city center and the tram to the station. Very concrete. Immediate proximity is not great.
