Bordeaux for 2 night
Bordeaux is a lovely (clean) city with lots to see and do and a very efficient cheap tram system. We stayed about 10 mins outside the city in a functional Marriott using some points Id saved up. It was all very clean and quiet

The Renaissance can't decide if it's a hotel or disco.
This hotel can't decide whether it's a disco or hotel. Quiet night sleep, don't count on it. The bass from the roof top bar (floor 9) was incredibly loud in our room (floor 7). Boom-boom-boom!!! The front desk couldn't come to a consensus as to when the music was going to stop. The next day, then hotel sent an apology form letter and a coupon for a free cup of coffee. Also the next morning, a half a dozen rooms on the 7th floor near ours were being cleaned and assume the guests either moved to another hotel or floor. Cleanliness and wear & tear is an issue as well as the stink of some cheap perfume smell in the public spaces/elevator. This is definitely not of Marriott standards.

There was indeed a summer DJ set scheduled on July 28th, with a planned finish at 9:30 p.m. Following your call, our team immediately contacted the rooftop bar, which confirmed that the bass had been reduced and that the set would end at 9:30 p.m. Unfortunately, it ultimately continued until around 10:00 p.m., and we sincerely apologize for this delay.
To help you relax and continue enjoying your stay, we offered you and your family a complimentary hot or cold drink and a pastry of your choice at our coffee shop. We genuinely wanted to provide you with a pleasant moment to unwind following the inconvenience you experienced.
The rooms you noticed being serviced the following morning were simply rooms being prepared following guest departures. During the peak season, around half of our hotel checks out and checks in on the same day, which explains the particularly high level of housekeeping activity that morning.
The fragrance in our public areas is the signature Renaissance scent, which is part of the brand identity and a mandatory Marriott standard across Renaissance hotels worldwide.
We also take your comments regarding cleanliness and the condition of the property seriously and have shared them with our teams.

It Worked For Us
Yes, the hotel is not near the city center and the area around it is in "renewal", but it worked for us as we wanted to tour the wine museum which is across the street. The hotel has everything you need and the staff were very helpful. The rooftop bar is very nice in the evening. Our room faced the silos and it was very quiet.

Easy parking, far from town
The hotel is off the beaten path, located in a trendy neighborhood with several repurposed warehouse and storage buildings nearby. The tram stop is just one block from the hotel and provides easy access to downtown in about 15 minutes.
The rooms are dated, and unfortunately the service was disappointing. The staff at both check-in and the restaurant were not particularly friendly or welcoming. If your main goal is to explore the city, I would recommend staying closer to downtown for greater convenience and a better overall experience.

Nice view of Bordeaux’s seaport area
Facility is quite nice, just what you would expect from Marriott. It is located a few miles from the city center, but very near the City of Wine building that is very unique and identifiable on the Bordeaux skyline. Buffet breakfast not spectacular, but acceptable. On site restaurant was never available for the 2 nights we were there due to private parties.
