Extraordinary charm
A real favorite! The Hôtel Digoine, in Bourg-Saint-Andéol, is a magical place set in a magnificent 1880 residence, restored with exceptional taste by its owner. The decor, elegantly blending oriental and baroque styles, gives the establishment an absolutely unique charm.
The welcome from Claudia and her daughter is remarkably kind and caring: you immediately feel like you are with friends. The breakfast is simply extraordinary, composed of quality products and served with great attention. It is also possible to have dinner by reservation, an experience that perfectly completes the stay.
An address full of character, where every detail tells a story. An essential stop that I recommend without the slightest hesitation.

Very atypical, perfect for escape. Every room is a journey. Great cleanliness. Charming and discreet hosts. Homemade breakfasts prepared with care and attention , very varied in an old-fashioned kitchen where everything is to be discovered. Bikes safe.

Thank you to the host of this hotel for allowing us the time of an evening to let us take possession of this unusual place, out of time. Thank you for the confidence to let us wander through all these sumptuous rooms whose almost obsolete decoration has been chosen with taste. It felt like home for a moment, magical moment with friends. The royal breakfast served by a delicate and welcoming person made us forget the slight casualness of the owner of this place that made us dream.

Beautiful house but to avoid!
I stayed at the Hotel Digoine at the beginning of June 2025 where I had booked the entire hotel for three nights for a cousinade. On the hotel website and despite the price we were seduced by what the photos promised. Indeed each room has its own furnishings and decorations and we were able to meet 20 in a large living room. The room that my wife and I occupied was okay but the Wifi didn't work, and I didn't have the problems that some of my cousins had: Broken toilet, lack of toilet paper or no hot water on the first day.
However and what particularly annoys me is the bad faith of the owner. Indeed during written messages or telephone discussions with him I never indicated that we would have breakfast or evening meals, except for the first evening. And yet he claimed that we had booked breakfast (€13), that he had done the shopping accordingly and that we would have the evening meals.
I would therefore not recommend this property although it has a historical charm.

vous, avez a plusieures occasions la possibilite de prendre les diners et petits dejeuners.. ce flou artistique nous, a conduit a anticiper et faire le marche en consequence. vous, avez eu une coupure d eau aussitot reparee idem pour le wc reaare zussitot a 22 h.
puisque la notation s imposedesormais a tous, j espere ne pas recevoir cet ete des gens aussi desinvoltes et si peu agreables

To escape urgently.
The most unpleasant experience of our long experience in guest rooms, hotels and other lodgings. When we are dealing with a director who lies about his commitments regarding the first evening meal, forcing us to parliament at every turn, leaving us in trouble with toilets that did not work as soon as we arrived, and this for several rooms (we had booked for a cousinade of 20 people), moreover, no hot water on the first night. Director also refusing, at first to change sheets for cousins who took over our room because we were leaving a day earlier. A place full of decorative trinkets, carpets and cushions, but also full of dust. A slightly musty smell that envelops everything. I advise you to run away from this shack. Too bad, this great bourgeois house has a history, which attracted us!

ce groupe m avait indique prendre sans doute peut etre... petit dejeuner et diner et j ai donc fait lzs courses, e'consequenxe.. bilan les 3/4 des courses a jetter. quand on loue un gite pour un week end on est pas cense refaire les chambres pour des changements de personnes non precise au moment du devis.
