Very good restaurant

As last year we stopped for lunch, Welcoming still as pleasant beautiful setting under the vineyards, lunch of very good quality and quantity.

Fine but Scam on the Award

One night before returning to Bastia. The Inn and staff are very good. We ate well at the restaurant.
But the Award paid for the room is not as advertised: 79€ upon Reservation on Internet , 91 to finish....

Nice little stopover on the national intra-Corsica road

A pretty partly shaded terrace next to the swimming pool. A large adjoining parking lot. Simple but good and hearty dishes. Diligent and smiling service. Affordable prices. Possibility of accommodation since the establishment offers a dozen rooms.

Would not recommend

Visited this hotel as part of our cycle holiday. Room was extremely small, no where to put our small bags. In the evening we only had cold water for our shower and the next morning only hot water to clean our teeth. The pool was OK but very busy. Food was OK. What was not OK was the guitar playing and singing that carried on until 1am. The bed was very uncomfortable.

Strangely pleasant!

Day 5 of our self guided bike ride around northern Corsica saw us in Hotel Accendi Pipa.
The hotel is on the main road (N193) between Bastia and Ponte Leccia and seemingly in the middle of nowhere, which is an odd location for a hotel. Notwithstanding the apparent isolation, it was astoundingly popular on the night we stayed there.
Check in was fairly straight forward - our luggage had once again miraculously appeared at the hotel - the bikes were stowed away in a store room and we were taken to our room, which was on the top (third) floor. As is usual in Corsica, the room was petite and bijou and had an en-suite of similar diminutive proportions.
After showering and changing we wandered down to the pool, which was very popular with the junior visitors and chillaxed (we had endured a 10½ mile hill climb earlier in the day) for a while.
Dinner was a pleasant experience - the food was excellent, plentiful and not stupidly priced for a change, even the beer was affordable!
I managed to sleep peacefully; our room was on the top floor and not a sound crept into my lugs all night. The peace and quiet was aided by double glazed windows :)
Breakfast was what we expected, so no great shakes on that score.
Overall, AP was a pleasant, unpretentious hotel - it did what it was meant to do at a sensible price. What is there to complain about?
