Beautiful place

A beautiful, modern accommodation at the foot of the fortress. You are in less than 5 minutes already up in the city and within walking distance there are many restaurants, bars, supermarkets ... The accommodation has a self check-in & Check-out, everything worked out without any problems. It was reasonably priced. Large and modern furnished rooms, great outdoor area with small pool for nice summer evenings. Breakfast was good and adequate. I felt very comfortable and safe as a solo traveler and would have liked to stay longer in such an accommodation in picturesque Carcassonne.

If you are looking for a guesthouse where everything is done contact-free, you have come to the right place!

We stayed one night in this guesthouse and were very surprised to never meet the owner. For a guesthouse, where one generally expects a warm welcome and interaction with the host, it is particularly regrettable.
The room is comfortable, without being exceptional. On the other hand, the welcome is totally impersonal: from arrival to departure, everything is done remotely.
Breakfast is served only from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in an excessively air-conditioned room, even though a pleasant terrace with 5 tables is available but not used. You have to serve yourself, several dispensers were empty and the staff only appeared for a few moments to restock them.
The most disappointing point concerns the tourist tax. After paying it on-site, it was charged a second time. When I contacted the owner, he asked me to send him a photo of my bank details by text message in order to process the refund. This request did not seem appropriate to me and I preferred to refuse it.
In the end, an experience that does not correspond to the idea we have of a guesthouse. We will not return and will not recommend it!

Good accommodation very well located

It is called in France Maison d’hôtes or chambres d’hôtes, what is called in English B&B or Guest House. Very spacious room with partial view of the citadel. Right breakfast. Paid parking in a nearby building that can be booked in advance. The only “negative” thing was that the first day we were not made the room. When we asked, we were told that a sign had to be left on the door of the room and the keys hung on the panel. In our room there was no sign or information on the subject

床单很不干净！我都是垫一次性浴巾睡的
枕头是方形的 感觉是靠垫凑合的
