A disaster both with the hotelier and with Booking.com

Cancellation insurance cancels with the cancellation of the room
I had to hold a room quickly on Châteauroux, it is said non-refundable, I take a cancellation insurance in case...
In the next few minutes, my colleagues inform me that they have just booked me a room at another hotel.
Within 10 minutes I cancel the room.
I contact Booking to find out how to make the insurance work and then I learn that the cancellation insurance was cancelled at the same time as the room, so it does not work...
The room rate was charged in full ...
The hotelier didn't want to know anything, no way to resume the room on another date either.
This hotel and Booking.com to flee
Both of them kept passing the ball on to each other, giving responsibility to the other...

To avoid.

No one to welcome you on Saturday. We need to call a phone. Wait 35 minutes... no excuses. In the evening, a cockroach killed in the nightstand, a small butterfly on the wall and a "ephemeral" on the ceiling. If the price was low...the service too...

Horrible we're not about to come back,

We stayed the night with our grandchildren, it was the only Pension available last July we had no choice, at breakfast we were very disappointed the unkind manager refused to let us have breakfast it bothered him he stayed 1 hour and it would take us a long time to serve croissants and chocolate breads it will take him time to warm them (mini frozen not very good, 2 of each for 5 people) we insisted the most unpleasant also he grunts and monitors forbids us to reserve us what is scandalous, acting the same way with other customers, and took the butter back to a customer who had taken 2 it shocked us we pay for a hearty lunch (which is not the case). The stained sheets, hair, bathroom with mold, everything is old... , we are not about to come back... do not advise anyone...

A shame for a hotel

Regular power cuts, forced to ask to change rooms because we can hear the life of the people living in the neighboring building. Mornings without hot water, staff monopolize the coffee machine to fill their hot water tray, traces of mold in the bathroom and power outlets in the room
