Wonderful place to stay.

We spent two nights here. It was a great place. They have converted to Barn and made it into a lodge. There were several rooms, kitchen, eating area, fireplace. One wall where the bard door use to be was a floor to ceiling window. Constance and Guillaume were wonderful hosts. The location was great a s base to go see the Chateaux in the area. Would have liked to spend longer. Definitely a place to check out.

Near miss!

This property is at the end of a 2k chalk dive! Don’t bother with a clean car! The bed was good but the floor-boards creek, a lot. Breakfast was sparse. This would be a good place for a family. We will not go again.

Lost booking!

Booked in January for September stay, as one of our party is vegetarian I made contact shortly before departing to remind the owner. On the day that we were due to leave the owner contacted me to say our booking had not been made. I was offered a flat nearby that was of the same standard and we could still eat it the b & b, in view if the time scale I accepted this option.
When we arrived we found that the flat was rather more rustic than anticipated, certainly not of the standard shown in pictures of the main rooms, however the bedding was crisp and clean and although tired so was the rest of the flat.
Our evening Meal was simple but very nice. The main b & b accommodation looked really nice and our host was welcoming.
On balance we would probably try again but I would advise checking reservation well in advance.

Convenient and comfortable with character

A perfect stopover just off the motorway but very rural - just in the right place to break up a journey across from the UK to the south of France. Very clean and well-fitted out. Open fire.
The accommodation for guests is in a converted barn adjacent to the owner's property.

A welcoming and comfortable B&B

We found this at the last minute when we changed our plans for our return to UK from Languedoc and did not regret it. The guest accommodation (5 rooms) is inside a converted hunting lodge/barn set peacefully in a forest glade at the end of a long track some 1.5km from the autoroute exit. It has been beautifully realised - it is more boutique hotel than B&B!! The rooms were very comfortable with 160cm beds and nice wet rooms. There is a lovely guest lounge in the middle of the building - it has a full height ceiling and a huge central fireplace which must be most enticing in the colder months. We were warmly welcomed by Guillaume who had very kindly agreed to make us dinner because the presence of our 3 month old grandson prevented us going out to eat. He also uncovered the pool so we could swim and this was a fabulous treat, not expected. He cooked us a delicious meal which was served in the dining end of the lodge. We had home made wild boar pate with Armagnac, followed by grilled duck and orange brochettes (cooked on the barbecue) with dauphinoise potatoes, ending with a deliciously rich chocolate brownie pudding with creme anglaise and then coffee or an infusion. The wine was excellent and there was plenty of it both before and during the meal. Guillaume is a most charming and solicitous host and during our short stay we met several of the junior members of his family which added to our enjoyment. The breakfast was a typical French one of cereals, yoghurt, bread, croissants and jams but plenty of it. We really recommend this place as a stopover or for a longer stay for those wishing to visit the Sologne and eastern Loire Valley attractions.
