Incredible spot in Collioure!
Absolutely spectacular! Traveled with family including two children. Service was incredible. 5 stars all the way. Breakfast wonderful, easy golf cart ride into town. Extremely accommodating and kind. Can’t wait to return!

A wonderful stay
We have just returned from an exceptional stay at Maison Nova. It's a great hotel a short walk away from the centre of Collioure and also, in the opposite direction, a beautiful beach called Ouille Beach with a fab restaurant.
Our room was spacious, with a lovely big bathroom, a dressing area, and a terrace (I think it was one step up from the smallest room they offer).
The pool is on the smaller side, but this is a boutique hotel, not a resort, and it's the perfect size for cooling off. The views from the sun terrace are wonderful. Also, we never had trouble finding a lounger, even though the hotel was busy.
The breakfast was plentiful - I've seen a few reviews which say there wasn't enough choice, but I disagree; there was enough to have something different on each day for the week we were there.
There's a buggy to take you the short distance into town; otherwise, it's a 10-minute walk. The staff are very nice and couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, and they obviously feel pride in the hotel.
We loved it here and would definitely return for a chilled-out, relaxing break.

Poor value for money
Cute, well-decorated, nice pool, but in no way a 5-star!
Small rooms, no attention given even though we specified that we were coming for a wedding anniversary. We were told that it was possible to eat at the hotel, but we were served shabby tapas and it took over an hour to serve us 3 pieces of bread (frozen) for €100... under the pretext that one person was managing everything alone.... At the price of the room at €360, I think we are dealing with something unreasonable.
Okay for a 4-star, but not a 5-star...

A pleasant stay
Maison Nova is a well located boutique hotel: although it is on the outskirts of the village, the center is reached by walking in less than 10 minutes, which makes it very accessible. The private parking is 10 minutes from the hotel and they have shuttle for transfers, although on foot the walk was always pleasant and entertaining.
The facilities are in good general condition. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and with enough space to rest well. The only point to improve is the open concept bathroom: when showering, the water splashes out of the area and it is necessary to cover the floor with several towels. A design detail that should be reviewed.
The staff deserve special mention. In particular, a boy who had only been working for a few days demonstrated an exemplary attitude: always attentive, attentive to us and willing to help at all times. Too bad he doesn't remember his name, because he deserves it.
Last night we ordered room service from the hotel restaurant and the food was very good, so we recommend it without hesitation.
Overall the experience was positive, although there was a little confusion with some food we left in the hotel fridges at the suggestion of a reception girl. Nothing serious, but a detail to consider in the internal coordination of the team.
In short, a hotel with a lot of potential and human attention that makes a difference. We'd repeat.

Hotel a little light for a 5 star
I'm mixed about this hotel
What bothers me a little, is its rating of 5 stars ..
Frankly I find some services and even light finishes for this note!
The room with projecting tile edges, a hole in the floor where my husband almost twisted his toe..
The pool of one size can be correct for a 4 or 5 room hotel but not for 13 rooms. I dare not imagine in summer season!!
you can't do a length, just dabble ..and be careful like in the room with the rim on the tread side which is sharp (always my husband who goes out with a nice purplish trace on the torso )
And finally the breakfast not worthy of a 5 star , what is offered is good but not enough!
I always compare with the number of stars .. and the price!
