Peaceful
It is situated in a beautiful peaceful location.
We had to drive to Albert for an evening meal as the lady who owns the chateau did not cater for guests on a Sunday evening, breakfast in the morning was very basic and was not in my opinion worth 12.50 euros pp.
Overall it was ok for 1 nights stay.

Mixed feelings
The room (we had the Count's) was very grand but quite dark.
Against: Not welcoming, you can only check-in after the day trippers have gone and then only for a 2 hour window. There are no restaurants, cafes or bars in the village.
Food is available if you pre-order (and appeared very nice) but in the form of a dinner - not a menu. Quite expensive for the facilities.

Historic chateau
It took us all ages to find how to get in as the big old wrought iron gates look like they have never been opened for hundreds of years!
Inside the chateau the owners are restoring it to its original glory. Our bedroom looked amazing but the mattress is so old that we were falling into the middle of the bed.
There are no locks on any doors.
The owners have a long road ahead of them to get this up to a good hotel standard but you have to accept that this a like someone's house and you are a (paying) guest.
You must be prepared to travel at least 12 miles down tiny roads to get something to eat in the evenings unless you make prior arrangements with the hotel owner.

Elegantly restored Chateau.
Will definitely return and hope to spend another period of time exploring the area.
