Excellent and local

Very nice stay at Altu Pratu. This is an experience rather then simply a place to sleep. Host are very welcoming and gives a personal touch. The view from the rooms towards the mountains are extrodinary. If you want to experience a local stay in Corsica this is the place to go. Make sure you eat the 3 course meal at the Hotel which is homemade cuisine by the owner. Highly recommended

Terrible

Really really wanted to like this place but it was truly awful. Major problem - despite what the website says they no longer serve food. The nearest restaurant of any kind is the guts of an hour round trip on very difficult roads ; apart from ‘le snack’ up the hill - great staff but basically pizza and chips - there is literally nowhere to buy food of any description. Breakfast is two slices of bread with jam and packet orange juice. We were due to stay a week and left after a night , no refund. Stefan booked us in and disappeared before noticing there was no power in the room . The minute - really minute - terrace to the room was enclosed by two concrete walls and an impenetrable wall of vegetation obscuring entirely what should have been a wonderful view . No staff anywhere - we never saw Stefan again. The sink blocked. The place felt like a dream that had died, now almost abandoned. Very sad. The pool is fine if you don’t mind the loose ladder...

Outstanding

Impossible to find a better place to disconect. Marie took care of us very well and Lawrence showed us a lot about the universe with their unique telescope.
The food was authentic corse food.
Be carefull of you are allergic to the beew, so many flowers in those colourful gardens :)

Incredible Nightsky

C'est un endroit magique. Stephan a créé un grand observatoire avec plusieurs télescopes ici par passion. La Corse possède un ciel étoilé très particulier en raison des conditions de lumière favorables dans les montagnes. Nous avons pu voir plusieurs planètes très clairement à travers les télescopes et avons acquis de nombreuses connaissances intéressantes sur notre ciel nocturne. Pierre, qui nous a tout expliqué en détail (même en anglais), a pris beaucoup de temps pour partager avec nous ses connaissances et sa passion.
Un grand merci à Stephan et Pierre pour avoir réalisé un rêve d'enfant. Nous reviendrons certainement ! *****
This is a magical place. Stephan has created a great observatory with several telescopes and a lot of passion here. Corsica has a very distinctive starry sky due to the favourable light conditions in the mountains. We could see several planets very clearly through the telescopes and got a lot of interesting knowledge about our night sky. Pierre who explained everything in detail (even in English) took a lot of time to share his knowledge and passion with us.
Many thanks to Stephan and Pierre for fulfilling a childhood dream. We will definitely be back! *****

Toujours un excellent gîte pour vacances!

Toujours excellent accueil et bel endroit pour se ressourcer, enfin déconfines! Le ciel y est toujours magnifique, de grands lits, un piscine parfaite pour nager un peu, des belles ballades partout autour, (Voir message an passé)
