Nice for a relaxing weekend for couples

We had a good weekend at this hotel. Honestly, in Honfleur, I find it difficult to do better in terms of quality/price.
The hotel is well-located and it is very quiet.
+ Big plus for the breakfast and dinner which convinced us.
+ Nice pool and terrace, ideal for cooling off.
- Only downside, we had seen some reviews regarding the cleanliness and... bad luck when we arrived in our room the trash can in our bathroom had not been emptied and it was quite full... there were also marks on the toilet.
Apart from that, we are very satisfied with our stay.

Good starting point for Honfleur and the coast

We arrived a bit early, but were welcomed warmly and were able to check into the room right away.
The hotel's location is good if you are traveling by bike. From here, it is only about 3 kilometers to Honfleur. Directly opposite is an outlet, and there are also several restaurants in the area. You can also find various grocery stores (Aldi, etc.) in the area. Parking is free of charge. Breakfast was okay as far as it went. The fruit salad at breakfast was not that great. The spa area (indoor pool, sauna) was free of charge, but in our opinion, not that great. We used the pool briefly once. The staff was always friendly and helpful. There is nothing to complain about here.

An experience I would not want to repeat

I would not stay at this hotel again. The room we were given was a decent size, however the room was dirty. The shower seat had not been cleaned in a long time allowing dirt and soap to accumulate on the seat hinge. I had the impression the room had not been used for a while.
When I complained the manager was not interested in rectifying the situation. Fortunately we were only staying one night.
I have used hotels frequently, but never experienced disinterest from management. I wonder when the hotel was last inspected.

A bit disappointing

Air conditioning completely malfunctioning: managed only by the reception, no control in the room. After a day at 104°F, the room was a furnace. We asked three times to lower the temperature, set at 66°F... and still no air coming from the ventilation. Hours later, still stifling, impossible to open the window due to the heat and humidity outside. Unacceptable for a spa hotel. Friendly staff, decent food, but that doesn’t make up for anything.

Ventilation that blows no air, controlled only by the reception.

The air conditioning is not accessible from the room: everything is managed by the reception. After a day at 104°F, our room was a furnace. Around 7 PM, we requested that they lower the temperature. They set it to 66°F, three times at our request. Problem: no air is coming from the ventilation, regardless of the setting. As a result, no change.
It was midnight, it was still 86°F and humid outside, so it was impossible to open the window to breathe a little. The room remained stuffy all night.
For an establishment that presents itself as a spa hotel, not being able to operate its ventilation properly during a heatwave, and not offering any solution despite several follow-ups, is unacceptable.
Friendly staff, fairly good food — but that does not make up for a night spent cooking in one's own room.
