AVOID

Very bad experience at the Kyriad Caen IFS
I stayed two nights in this hotel and I paid €179, a rate that absolutely does not correspond to the quality of the room offered.
Upon my arrival, I noticed the presence of spider webs in several places in the room. Furthermore, there were small insects resembling fleas or other pests, which is totally unacceptable in a hotel establishment.
The cleanliness of the bathroom, and especially the shower, also left something to be desired. I also noticed a very unpleasant and unusual smell in the room.
On top of that, the room did not have air conditioning, which made the nights very uncomfortable. Under these conditions, it was practically impossible to sleep properly.
For a total of €179 for two nights, I expected a much higher level of hygiene, comfort, and equipment.

trap to avoid

very disappointing hotel, a 3-star that resembles a 2-star, outdated room, very simple breakfast, and noisy location, no restaurant to avoid, friendly staff

Decent hotel but shower small and not sure if the vacuum was seen the pieces of dirt on the carpet not clean so!

DISASTER

May I leave this review , I have booked a night from Thursday 20 to Friday 21 NOVEMBER 2025. At first the room had a strong smell of tobacco. The room was dirty in the supported photo bathroom, and moreover the radiator was blocked at 17 degrees. I first asked to change rooms for the smell I received a negative response from the host who was busy watching his movie on the phone. I pointed out the cleanliness she replied I take note.
For the radiator I called in the night a gentleman also came with his phone in his hands with a video en route to tell me “it will be okay at 17 degrees Mr. my colleague will come at 7am tomorrow”. And I didn’t see anyone!
For breakfast the tap person to clean the tables who sighs and also who drags his feet I think there is a big problem in this establishment. Especially for more than 80€ per night.
And especially after an email sent no commercial gesture!!!!

Establishment without air conditioning with attic room (in summer it is an oven) common areas with carpets from another age
Rooms do not have a fire detector or sound insulation
When in showers the joints are mouldy
