An iconic place in Sologne.
Thank you to the staff for the welcome, the service, and the kindness. Kudos to the chef for the quality of the meal. We also really liked the concept of themed rooms. It's a shame that I didn't have the time to enjoy the spa, which I visited and truly inspires relaxation.

Last time
It was not the first time we went there, but it will be the last. To double the room capacity, the villa next door was bought, according to the person who welcomed us and encouraged us to go there. Super small room, only the bedding is new. Quickly renovated to be rented out. In the middle of a heatwave, no air conditioning, only fans are available. The water carafe without a cap is lukewarm, one out of every two glasses was not changed, bravo for the hygiene. Impossible to plug in the kettle because the outlet is the same as the one for the television. A power outlet available in the bathroom (completely open to the bedroom and without curtains) is 10 cm from the floor. To take a shower, you have to step over and climb into the bathtub, child's play for a person who is 1.55m tall, the showerhead has already had a long life. A bedside lamp was not connected because... no outlet. A manager or owner was not present, so the person at the front desk received my complaints while grumbling that it is always her job, and I am sorry for that. The website is therefore very misleading....

Pitiful service at the restaurant, table reserved for 3, stayed at the table for 2 hours and 30 minutes for appetizer, main course, and dessert even though there were only 3 tables occupied when we arrived.
I even thought at one point that we had been forgotten.

The tarte tatin
Where is the famous tarte tatin whose quality I was praising everywhere? Yes, this will be the last time I advertise it, and I will go eat it elsewhere in a bakery where they know how to make it. I think you have forgotten the fundamentals that built your reputation, and the hotel spa has taken all your attention... it's a shame, what a mistake.
A poorly baked tart with a crust that crumbles on the plate; in short, a disappointment that cost 30 euros... so a piece of advice: keep your spa and stop making tartes tatin that only have the name and certainly not the quality.

La Maison Tatin: to be avoided.
Locked in the hotel room, poor communication, irresponsible management.
The hotel La Maison Tatin is poorly managed. This had serious consequences for my disabled husband who, although he had booked and received a confirmation, did not get a ground-floor room that was suitable for him. He had to climb two flights of stairs – which is extremely difficult for him – to reach the cramped and noisy room that was offered to us instead. This one was not equipped with an appropriate shower. It was only for dinner and breakfast that we found the courage to climb the stairs; we were therefore trapped. The hotel acknowledges the complaint; the receptionist even broke down in tears upon seeing my husband climb the stairs limping, but refuses any compensation. The questions – though simple – remain unanswered. In summary: extremely poor organization as the reserved room turned out to be unavailable for us, poor communication as our complaints were not relayed, and despite promises, we still had to pay the full amount, along with a cowardly management that does not take our complaint seriously and turns a deaf ear. Avoid this place!
