A magnificent garden

A beautiful park, the vegetable garden is the same, along with peacocks. Original sculptures in the park with soft and relaxing music. Just note that there is not much to visit in the castle, but the artworks are curiosities.

Thank you ! We are delighted that you enjoyed meeting our peacocks, as well as exploring our fifteen fairy-tale gardens.
In fact, only five rooms in the château are open to the public, as the château is a private residence occupied all year by the current owner. These rooms are furnished in the style of cabinets of curiosities, blending contemporary art with medieval furniture to surprise and to evoke wonder.

Château RIVAU is worth the detour

This small castle is well worth the detour. The visit to the rooms and the quirky exhibitions are a must-see, especially the garden which offers a pleasant stroll through the imagination of fairy tales. For adults and families, everyone finds something to enjoy.
Highly recommended.

Very good hotel a very reasonable price

Very good hotel in the castle stables. Very friendly staff and very suitable rooms. Very good breakfast in a very nice setting. Although not close to an urban center is quite suitable to visit the Saumur area.
The restaurant is fine although it is a bit expensive.

We were hoping to see a more beautiful and attractive castle.
Pretty disappointed.
Qq furnished rooms, atypical exterior decor .The garden is original but for the Award we expect better
A completely overwhelmed restaurant.
Not worth the trip.
