Worse than an Airbnb.
- service less professional than an Airbnb (no communication about the hours, we found ourselves locked out at 11 PM because they did not give us the key). Of course, no one on site (funny for a guesthouse), nor reachable at 11 PM).
- room in a pitiful state (no bathroom, the toilet is between the bed and the window).
- misleading advertising (local products that turn into Carrefour yogurt, Président butter, Honeymoon honey...)

Extremely unfair behaviour – they kept our money after failing to confirm our stay
We booked this property because it was advertised as pet-friendly. After making the reservation, however, we were informed that our request concerning our dog still needed to be confirmed by the property.
The property replied to us by email, but without actually clarifying the situation or confirming that we could stay with our dog.
We therefore tried to call them THREE times before 8:00 pm, which was the stated check-in deadline. Nobody answered. We also left a voicemail clearly explaining that we were waiting for their confirmation and that, if they could not confirm our stay, we would have to book another accommodation. Despite this very clear message, they never called us back.
All of this happened BEFORE 8:00 pm.
What happened afterwards is, in our opinion, completely unacceptable: the property claimed that we simply “did not show up by 8:00 pm” and used this as the reason to keep the full amount we had paid.
This is an extremely misleading version of what actually happened. We did not simply fail to show up. We were actively trying to contact them because we were waiting for THEIR clarification and confirmation. They knew this from our voicemail, yet they chose not to call us back.
Had they simply answered the phone or returned our call before 8:00 pm, the entire situation could have been resolved immediately.
Instead, they ignored our calls and message and then blamed us for not arriving, using this as justification to keep our money.
We find this behaviour deeply unfair and extremely unprofessional. We are writing this review so that future guests are aware of how this property handled our situation and can make their own judgment before booking.
A shameful experience and absolutely not the level of honesty, communication and customer care one should expect from a hospitality business.

The setting is beautiful, but the prices are exaggerated for the quality!
