Les Gets treat for a tired Brit
Such lovely people very kind and helpful and a very comfortable hotel with everything you need for a super experience in this very special village

Very poor value for money. No merchant, nor the hotel codes at more than 350 euros a night!
No soundproofing. We hear in the hallway as if the neighbors were in the room.
Handle of the window broken so a latch to replace but leaves an opening play resulting in cold and street noise.
Paint's not finished.
No cover on the switch replaced by tape.
Big stains on the pillow and duvet, horrible.
Traces of humidity on the ceiling, no VMC in the bathroom so fog on the windows and throughout the room after a shower.
More than 60 euros the few roses that I was told in front of my wife that we had to add 5 euros for the adjustment of the transport costs that sent his final invoice only the next day. Costs finally covered in front of the list of inadmissible items for a price of 350 euros per night at this time (March 2026).
We were offered to use the spa as compensation and a full breakfast versus express.
The staff does not speak good French but makes the effort and remains professional.
Perfect if you are a rather wealthy Englishman with no point of comparison of the French hotel market in the region, horrible if you are a regular French traveler.
The atmosphere is indeed friendly between Anglophones who seem to know each other and / or get to know each other quickly.
No words of apology from the owners and managers.
I sent an email to the reception with this list and supporting photos.

Excellent stay in beautiful quiet village
Traveling with my mother who recently had a hip operation, and my elderly dog. We had room 14 , perfect as just by the lift. Self check-in was very easy as given clear instructions. Nice size room with large double bed plus full sized single. Plus enough floor space for the dog to not get tripped over. Big wet room made it easy for showering. Immaculately clean and well attended by staff every day. Spa was a nice bonus for me to escape. Great selection on breakfast buffet with hot option even though it's low season.

Superb hotel
For the weekend of May 1st we slept in this hotel and no regrets about choosing it, the very welcoming and smiling boss, the hearty and good breakfast, even our niece and her boyfriend who slept in the campervan had the right to take it with us.

A Perfect Stay
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Chamois D’Or in Les Gets. I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The hotel has a warm, family-run atmosphere - nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and the team went out of their way to make our holiday an enjoyable one. The rooms are lovely and full of Alpine charm and there’s a great spa that’s perfect after a long day on the slopes!
A huge bonus was having Mad Max Ski Rental located right in the hotel. The team there were extremely helpful and efficient, making it so easy to get ski equipment organised for my children. Overall, Hotel Chamois D’Or delivers the perfect Alpine experience: central location, wonderful facilities, and genuinely lovely people. We had a fantastic stay and will be returning again!

As a reference, the winter ski season begins mid-December and ends mid-April and the summer season begins mid-June and ends at the end of August. For your comfort, a ski room and a bike storage area are available free of charge, so you can make the most of the mountains in every season. Dogs (and other pets) are welcome for an additional charge of €10 per day.
