Great stay and excellent value; the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Room can get warm but of course it was very hot outside 35c plus so no issue during slightly cooler period I’m sure.

Conveniently located for the train station with plenty of shops, eateries etc. nearby. Secure access from ground level, with stair access immediately to reception. Easy and welcome check in. Stairs to all floors.
I don't mind a small room when I'm travelling, as I only sleep there. However, if you are a larger person or travelling as a pair you may find (at least the room I was in) to be at your limit. The shower is very tight for space and there is limited walking space between furniture. That said the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

The staff were very friendly & helpful. The room was clean, warm & had all I needed. The breakfast was lovely & I helped myself to a feast. They even let me store my bag there after checkout while I went out for the day. Thank you. I will be back x

Old and dirty

We stayed one night in the hotel to be close to the Zenith of Lille.
The location is perfect for both the room and the city center .
However, the room and bedding were dirty... I attach photos to this comment. The bath towels also smelled of frying.
Fortunately the bedding was correct and we spent a decent night.
We talked about it at the reception when we left. These shortcomings are justified by an upcoming renovation.

Very very basic

Stayed here for one night. External door locked but easily contacted staff via keypad. Entered property and greeted by a very polite lady, who was presently cleaning our room. Waited 10 minutes and we were in. Room very very basic, tired. Toilet had no sink so had to walk around the bed to go into the sink/shower area to wash your hands. Shower was hot no issues.
Unfortunately the room above us had very questionable clientele. For around 1.5 hours at around 12.30 AM there was banging and crashing (also loud voices) continually. Then at 2.40AM someone tried to open our room door. Luckily we had locked it and put the security latch on. There was then knocking on doors (not ours) and talking in the corridor. Finally went quiet after 3AM, intermittent disturbances after that. We told the staff in the morning, the reception didn’t speak English so precarious translation as to what had happened in the night.
This hotel clearly has no soundproofing whatsoever. The noise from the room above was horrendous, god only knows what they were doing.
Overall despite a good location and reasonable cost, it wasn’t worth it and I would never stay again. The steep stairs (no lift) would be problematic for many. The staff were very pleasant indeed, but the experience we had was not good.
