A superb building, very affordable hotel and restaurant, excellent stop in Bresse

Superb location (old mill on the Seille), original interior decoration (old wheels operating the grinding wheels) room with very nice wooden ceiling and nice view, bedding and sanitary very decent. Dinner for a very reasonable price (39€ ). Small downside: the breakfast buffet could be completed (eggs, cold cuts). Welcome and attentive services. See on site the arcades of the main street of Louhans.

Inn to avoid. What about the restaurant?

What a disappointment! From the outside, the place looks charming. But once you're in the room, it's a different story. The only positive: the surface of the room, large. But otherwise, there is much to review. Cobwebs everywhere; then I know we are in the middle of nature with a river, a pond, but these cobwebs and their occupants were not from yesterday. The totally uncomfortable mattress that collapsed in the center, with the springs that could be felt. Moreover, the bed was too small. My husband is not a giant, but unless he slept with his head against the wall, his feet were sticking out, and I'm not talking about the tip of his toe, but the whole foot... Still about the bed, I don't know if it's normal, but the blanket was not put properly with the sheet, it was up to us to put it on. Another point to note: there was a generator or something working nearby and so we had this buzz in our ears all night. And icing on the cake: in addition to the dust under the bed, there was a small piece of I don't know what. We didn't check any further what it was. In short, the housekeeping was completely to be reviewed. This was reported at reception the next day. I would point out that due to the cleanliness of the place, we decided not to have Breakfast at the Pension. And I also point out that this criticism relates only to the Pension since we could not test the restaurant (closing day). Anyway, we're not going back.

Hotel to escape… restaurant great discovery

Mediocre hotel (deserves 1 star) but restaurant that makes it all better.
Arriving in front we say to ourselves what a great discovery: exterior setting, waterways, facade, calm...
However, we are disillusioned as soon as we enter... room on the second floor without elevator. Don’t wait for help to set up your business.
The tone was set when we reached the bedroom landing… I was at my grandmother’s house 30 years ago.
The room to help. Main light broken, one of the two above the bed also. Room therefore very dark at the base but there we see absolutely nothing.
Terrible bed. Questionable bedspread. Really not up to what we see outside.
I went to the restaurant located on the floor below but with reservations due to the room (and because I was clearly told when I arrived “you have to go there from 7 p.m. but not after 8 p.m.…”).
And there any other framework. Delicious dishes. Magnificent discovery. A disturbing contrast, however.
I told myself that the breakfast could only be fantastic… he stopped at a café… even in a motorway hotel it is better and fuller…. To summarize restaurant at the top (even if a lot of fuss) HOTELlimite unsanitary

Old-fashioned charm

Beautiful view and quiet in room 10
The room was clean, but could do with a serious update.
We came 14 years ago and it seems to us that everything has remained in its original state.
The double bed is tiny, with a white sheet that is too short and a blanket that is not very supportive.
There television lacks channels, which is no longer adapted to our times.
In the bathroom there is only one hook for hanging laundry.
There would be a lack of power to make it into a jewel
Breakfast is very simple, but good.
Nothing to say for the price.
