Very good hotel
I came for one night on the occasion of a concert and not knowing Lyon at all. The hotel is close to a metro and not far from the train station on foot (about 20 minutes). The price was very attractive and I was lucky to be upgraded.
The reception staff were all very kind.
The room I occupied was very clean, parking side so no outside noise and in any case I did not hear any other noises coming from other rooms.
I recommend this property 100%.

Horrible.
In a creepy neighborhood, dirty and dilapidated room, we went to buy disinfectant wipes and pillows those on the bed was very dirty with yellow halos and smelled bad, there was directly the pillowcase without cover!
The disgusting mattress with bonus full of hair.
We cleaned the headboard with a wipe it was dirty, the disgusting shower and the breakfast buffet really didn't make you want to eat, dirty dishes, big plate of butter not even refrigerated, no towel around the baguette where everyone put their hands, I just drank coffee from a cardboard cup, very bad experience this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed!
Given the room rate, it's stealing.
How can it have 3 stars.
Plus I'm disabled I had to take the stairs there's no elevator.

Didn't have breakfast but can't imagine it being amazing going by the style of hotel. Better eating out and sampling the Lyon patisseries nearby anyway.
For about £70 a night really can't complain though. The bed was comfortable and it was acceptably clean. Thankfully we were not in a room on the main street side so it was really quiet. Toilet paper has a lot to be desired as it's cheap brown nasty stuff.
Beds were made every day for us also. Staff were pleasant enough. Just make sure you get your "hold payment" back as I had to claim mine back thru my bank.

Hotel can do better
A hotel located in a (very) uncrowded area.
Be careful, if you are alone especially at night. The rooms are old. Mould at home in front of the shower, pre-cushions with holes.
Strengths: the shower itself very nice and the mattresses: excellent. Similarly, paradoxically, the nights are very quiet.
We can thus consider that the main mission of a good night is successfully fulfilled.
Breakfast seems to be almost unanimous here. However, we are as tight as sardines and the days we were present the coffee machine did not work well at all. The second day definitely not at all. Incomprehensible that between the two days the problem was not solved.
Same for having a yogurt or something else, you have to ask because the buffet is not automatically restocked.
I pity these ladies of the service who have to deal with equipment that is a priori defective (coffee machines though crucial in the morning).
The staff was very decent and helpful to the extent possible. Thank you to them!

Bad bedding
Poor quality bedding, 2 twin beds as a double bed, separated in the night. These 3 nights spent in the hotel had an impact on the quality of my professional stay in Lyon.
