A very nice discovery

We stayed 2 nights in this very charming hotel that has a "soul."
All the staff are smiling, very welcoming, and friendly!
The rooms are very well laid out and the beds are extremely comfortable.
The breakfast buffet is also very varied.
An added value is its location as well as the possibility of parking (by reservation). We always travel with our 4-legged companion who is also welcome at the establishment!

As I've often found, with French ladies-of-a-certain-age, they appear not to care about whether you feel welcome or not. I don't know if this is just me, because of my British accent, or to tourists in general.
The room was very good. It was a blessing to get a night-cap at the bar after returning at night.
But here's my REAL BEEF! This is an AC hotel. Wonderfully cool (though not as cool as in the US, I respect that, as energy costs are so high in Europe) when we arrived in our room. Still cool when we went to bed. Half way through the night I awoke to sheets sodden with my sweat because the AC had gone off at some unspecified time.
Monsiuer ou Madame Logis Hotels, Either your hotel is air conditioned or its not. Don't cheapskate us!

We arrived early than the 4:30 which was advised ( I had missed this unusually late check in ) The receptionist was rude and claimed we also had failed to book parking.
She grudingly gave us a room which was a lower standard than we had paid for and a parking place right at the back which would have blocked us in if the carpark had been full ( which it wasn't by any means)

Pretty good experience

Pleasant hotel, well located but the city of Macon is disappointing.
That said. Nice service, nice room with just a few imperfections (dirt behind the doors, no privacy screen in the bathroom and just one small 50 cl bottle of water for the couple).
Nice breakfast room but not restocked immediately (for example, the bacon with the scrambled eggs was already missing at 7 o'clock in the morning and not restocked)

An unpleasant surprise after a long day of driving, was that we could not park our car in the hotel's garage. Thery told us with no apologies that Parking option is available only by an email or a phone call. This was not mentioned in their site! It was "parking libre"!
