Madam said 'we will be back'!!!

One of the nicest hotel locations in France. The gardens along the river are super and relaxing - perfect to lounge around with a quiet drink. Rooms a little small but perfectly serviceable and clean. Fans in every room to help with heat. The team from reception to restaurant are excellent. Nice choice of wines and the meals were excellent valuer for money. The pavlova was super!

Good child!

We may return on the occasion of a stop at the hotel because the establishment is well located in the city and by the water.
Room with a balcony overlooking the river: nice. Large parking lot, also very convenient.
Decent breakfasts but taken in an unpleasant "briefing" atmosphere for the customer. (Management questioning its staff about the service from the previous day in a rather indiscreet manner).
Disappointing dining options. Uninspired cuisine, relatively "greasy," and the service was lacking (we had to ask for everything).

Don’t miss this place

We had been away from Logis de France for a number of years, but on this road trip we thought we’d give them another try.
On our first stop, we had a negative experience in a Logis near Bergerac.
We were disappointed and wondered if this would set the trend for the whole road trip.
We were wrong.
The Logis Beau Rivage in Mansle-les-fontaines is everything a Logis should be.
Welcoming, comfortable, family-run, clean and with everything you might need.
Ideally situated on the banks of the river, it provided a peaceful and beautiful rest stop on our trip.
The restaurant, while busy, was run with aplomb by the youngsters who made up the serving staff.
And they clearly have people in the kitchen who know what they are doing. The food was excellently cooked and
presented. Chapeau!

Wonderful

What a superb location. We had a medium sized room, nice décor, lovely shower and a good big fan in the bedroom (very hot). We over looked the river and gardens and had a small (one person wide) balcony. Reception was simple and everything was very clean. The gardens are just lovely, not over fussy, but well tended. Our little dog loved them. We had a very pleasant wine (or two) recommended by the staff - very nice. Dinners were top class - beyond what you would expect for a classification 'Gourmand'. The deserts were a dream!! Petit dej equally good with fresh fruit a nice bonus. After visiting may hotels, this one was in a class of its own and Madam said 'we will be coming back here'! Thanks to all the staff, our stay was a delight.

Economical but not memorable!

A good value for Award but without charm or gastronomy.
Only attractions its location (room with balcony overlooking the Charente) and parking.
Establishment "dated" even if qq "refreshments".
The outfit is "family"! It gives us friendliness but... have undergone management / staff discussions (unprofessional!).
Lack of restaurant service (hot starters served almost simultaneously as an aperitif + "cheese zappage"), missing dish and wine.
Any starter (octopus/chorizo), a fish bathed in water (either thawing or undrained vegetables?). Nothing transcendent!
