A paradise that should not be misleading

The 'luxury' suite had nothing luxurious about it. When I asked if it was possible to have two beds instead of the double bed, two days before my arrival, the response was very curt. In the end, the double bed is a one-and-a-half size bed, very uncomfortable for adults.
They offer a kitchenette (fridge and microwave) but no table - we had to move the nightstands to eat. The neighborhood seemed dirty and unsafe (dead rat on the sidewalk)... There was a Monoprix 200 meters away, but on the Sunday of our arrival, they did not sell alcohol (impossible to buy a half-bottle of rosé) and the fresh products (salads, etc.) were clearly expired.
The photo is misleading; it is not at all what we see from the room. The only positive point is that the room was clean and quiet.

Well placed but I did not expect this

The hotel was very clean. Quality area not far from the old port.
BUT, I booked a suite on the top floor to have a terrace. Unfortunately, it is only once the reservation is made that it is indicated that the room is on the 5th floor without elevator.
AND, admittedly, the street is noisy. Waked up at 5am by night owls, then garbage cans, then street cleaning. So wake up very early.
The rooms are nice. So if you come, you should know that you will not have a fat morning.

Do not stay here

Cons: The bed is uncomfortable like a rock, the shower is tiny and hot water doesn’t last, the apartment is no where close to soundproof. You can hear every siren, car or motorbike, and people talking. Room is cleaned and towels changed only once during stay by request, even for a week long stay. Got very little sleep here. Five flights of stairs total with no lift. Stairs curve and are very steep.
Pros: Location is decent.

To flee // Incessant noise // pictures Lies

The proximity to the port is nice
Deception on the pictures .. No terrace... No Balcony
Windows overlooking Street very very noisy and very busy .. very bad renovation of windows
impossible to open otherwise you are in the exhausts and other noises.

I do not recommend.

This hotel does not have a front desk, concierge service, or elevator, and does not supply soap nor hair drier. It does not have a view of the water, and if you’re in Marseille, a view of the water is what you want. It is located on a rather busy and noisy side street. The stair case to upper rooms is a charming but difficult circular design, which makes getting one’s bag up the stairs somewhat limited, at least for this 70 year old lady. However, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
