Visited two years in a row and always very good experiences!
Recommended for motards, motorcycle or car is safe in the courtyard, the gate closes in the evening.
Had 2 different rooms and each time nicely dressed and everything present..

A little touch of happiness to your stay

A week after our departure from La Charretterie, we have still not forgotten the relaxing, tasty and friendly moments spent with Nathalie and Bruno. A very pleasant and friendly welcome. Nathalie made us relive childhood moments around her varied, complete and balanced breakfasts prepared by her. Thanks to Bruno for his good guide advice which allowed us to experience beautiful days in Bayeux and the surrounding area.
Just one word THANK YOU, you fulfilled us and brought a touch of happiness to our historical and cultural stay.
I would not write more to you travelers to cross their door do not hesitate you will be delighted.
We will come back to ring your doorbell.

I recommend !

Perfect stay (one night): very friendly welcome, magnificent family suite with a large bathroom. Tastefully decorated and handmade. The owner has lots of ideas and opens the doors of her workshop to you: beautiful paintings, gifts... Gourmet breakfast: homemade jams, homemade yogurt... It was Easter and we were even able to go egg hunting in the garden ;-) !

Top guest house!

After entering a large courtyard surrounded by magnificent buildings full of charm, we
We were very warmly welcomed by our hosts Nathalie and Bruno.
Tastefully decorated cottage.
We were able to enjoy the hearty breakfasts, yogurts, jams, different small muffins every day and all homemade by Nathalie. Don't forget bread, brioche, fresh fruit. All delicious.
La Charretterie is ideally placed for all your visits to the region and all the D-Day beaches.
Don't hesitate to visit Nathalie's workshop, a true artist.
We highly recommend this guesthouse.

A wonderful B&B run by wonderful people

The house is in a peaceful, rural Normandy village. It has been tastefully renovated by the owners and the rooms have been decorated and equipped to a very high standard. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and had some lovely finishing touches, such as a small blackboard and easel with "Welcome to...." written on it. The bathroom was modern and well equipped and had masses of space for all the stuff you need to use but can rarely find enough space to get out of your wash-bag! There were slippers, water and even a kettle and tea & coffee (and biscuits) - a must for us British but rarely found in France! The bed was wide and comfortable and the provision of two armchairs meant you didn't have to sit on the bed to watch the TV (although we didn't!) The breakfast was a high standard continental one, with fruit, yogurt, homemade jams and cakes and some fantastic bead and croissants.
Nathalie and Bruno are marvellous hosts and can tell you anything you need to know about the area, restaurants, attractions, etc. They were also genuinely interested in us and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. We were only there because we had an earlier ferry than usual the next day but we enjoyed our time there so much we will undoubtedly go back next time we return to the UK. As you will have guessed, I cannot recommend La Charretterie too highly - go there, you will not be disappointed!
